Horribly disgusted and unhappy with our stay. Upon arrival I went to was my hands and the sink was clogged. Their fix was ripping apart the fixture and leaving the pieces all over the counter. Our room smelt of urine. The furniture was chewed and smelly. When I moved the couch it appeared no one had cleaned under it in months. Fake nails on the floor... but to top it off, there was poop on the bathroom wall. Which I had to clean up. The staff seemed less than concerned and didn't want to help us, or move to a cleaner room. I felt dirty and horribly displeased with my visit. I wouldn't stay there again if I were homeless and it were free. Gross. Thumbs down.
We got to the hotel and I immediately noticed the dirty parking lot full of very questionable characters. When entering the hotel the front sitting area had gross furniture stained with grease and god only know what else. Legs were missing on the couches and the floor was dirty. When we saw that the hotels pool was closed and that's all my kids wanted after we had just traveled 10hours, we asked for a refund, he only offered a 20% discount and then removed that once we said we would not stay more then one night. We got to our room and found yellowed sheets and pillow cases, moldy looking baseboards and lots of ants with free reign of the room. There looked to be mold around the tub and the sink was filthy. I was not about to subject my family to the conditions of this hotel, and to my disbelief, I took my family out of the hotel and left my reservation without even receiving a refund. Working in the oil patch and travelling as a tradesman I have stayed in a lot of hotels, many were old and very old. This hotel tries to be modern but is just so grungy and run down that I honestly could not keep my family there.…
Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights. The first night we arrived the cops were being called on some drug dealers for smoking in the room, the second day the room next to us on both sides were both being smoked in (weed) . The third night there were people yelling up and down the halls all night and the fourth night was more smokers all up and down our hall. This is a non smoking hotel. The room smelled dirty and dingy, the walls were stained with what looked like (and hoping to be) coffee. The sink was clogged and the sheets were stained. The parking lot was constantly full of people dealing or high on drugs or something and drinking with their buddies. For a hotel advertising a safe family hotel I don’t recommend ever staying here and I won’t ever be staying here again either. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of one is because the management and staff were kind about my concerns and were decent at helping me out with that.…
The only reason this dive is getting a one star, is because I can't give negative stars...We booked over the phone with the reservation line the day that we were travelling through a couple hours before we got there (I now see why they had vacant rooms). The place was an absolute disgrace to the Windham name. When we got to the hotel/homeless shelter, we were greeted by a homeless lady that was offering my daughter a teddy that she had found someplace, I politely declined as we walked in to the lobby. Upon walking in the doors, everything was dirty in the lobby, including the people roaming around. As I was checking in with the front desk attendant my wife and kids were wondering the lobby and seen a woman, high on something, with her pants down to her knees with nothing covering her scabbed, gross rear end. Thankfully my wife was able to turn the kids around before they were able to see anything, and they were out of the hallway before we were sent down the hall to our room. Upon entering the room, we noticed that the carpet in the room was so dirty that none of us took our shoes off, the first thing my wife did when we walked into the room was check the beds for needles or other paraphernalia that the "residents" had possibly left behind. The curtains had some kind of yellow/brown spots all over them, I'm not sure what it was, nor do I want to know. When we walked into the bathroom, there was some kind of black substance in the tub, again not sure what it was, there was urine all over the base of the toilet as if it was a dirty old truck stop that hadn't been cleaned in years. We brought it up to the front desk attendant, so he showed us 3 other rooms, and none of them were fit to stay in. They were all disgusting to say the least. My wife went and took the kids to the vehicle in the parking lot, where there was a person in a vehicle beside her, snorting drugs off the dash of his truck!!! As I checked out and told the guy, after waiting 15 mins for him to come back to the front desk, how disgusting the place was, and that I wanted my money back. Because this was in the Friday evening he said that the manager was gone for the day and would be back on Monday, and to send an email to the address on the business card. I didn't do that, I got on the phone and called when we got back home a few days later and told him what I thought of the place, and told him that I wanted my money back. He told me that because they were unable to re sell that room that night that he wouldn't be able to give me my money back. I explained what had happened and the kind of people that we encountered at his establishment, and his response was "we certainly don't have homeless people or crackheads around here, and the rooms are spotlessly clean, and he'll look into it and call me back." I hadn't heard anything after a week so I called back, and after calling 4 times I finally got a hold of the manager. I told him that I have small kids that didn't need to be subjected to what we seen there, and by the end of the phone call I had, he had me so worked up with his lying that I was yelling and swearing at him on the phone, I finally lost my cool with him. I did end up getting my money back after calling Master card and telling the guy on the phone what had happened, and I'm guessing it's not the first time he's had an issue with this place…
Immediately tried to get our money back after walking in. The room reeked of cigerette and piss. When confronted about the cleanliness, the guy refused to refund & offered 50$ discount. Carpets are lifting. No smoke detector. Clearly see the smoke butts outside the window.
