Vintage rooms are delightful. Bathtub with claw feet, and yet TV. Bed was comfortable and room was reasonably quiet. Front desk service went out of their way to please. Breakfast was good, with great service. Would go back when in Chilliwack.

A welcome change from your typical hotel, which shows its historical character throughout. Cozy and quaint rooms, and if your lucky you get the added bonus of one of their featured old fashion clawed tubs (I took full advantage of mine). Staff were friendly and went out today thier way to make you feel at home and part of the family. The attached cafe and restaurant offer amazing home cooked meals. I felt like I took a step back in time, and loved every moment of my time spent there.

My husband and I stayed in the "romantic" room with the king bed and cute balcony. We loved the whole thing. Check in and out was friendly, informative and quick. The hotel, while old, has lots of character but it all clean with lots of modern additions. We particularly appreciated all the "green" touches. So often when we stay in a hotel we cannot enjoy in-room coffee due to the disposable plastic waste and paper cups. The Royal Hotel provides an acceptable coffee machine alternative that does not require individual pods as well as real reusable cups and glasses. We appreciate that. Also, there was not a lot of extra disposable single use soaps and creams. The soap we needed was provided in a larger dispenser so we didn't create additional garbage. For an older hotel we found it to be complete environmentally up to date on that. BIG thumbs up! And, we loved our hot, included breakfast before heading out for the day.

Spotless and Historic. This quaint downtown hotel style B & B located near the infamous 5 Corners area of downtown. Great nearby independent shopping. Easy check in. **Note - this location has no elevator so is not a good fit for accessibility challenge**. Staff very friendly and treat you like special guests. Because it is historic building some of the areas of floors are slanted due to settlement over the years but nicely appointed rooms. Every square inch spotlessly clean and well cared for. The included breakfast voucher for restaurant gave several options to choose from. Arrived piping hot and more than we could eat. Service in restaurant amazing but please note did not include gratuity for beautiful service.

Because the hotel is smack in the centre of the town we choose it.What a mistake! No elevator...ok, we are fit so can take the two flight of stairs. Pretty expensive for what you get...small room, no closet, old fashioned bathroom and a small bed. After some exploring in the town we decided upon having a drink at the bar of the Royal...an other mistake! Very expensive wine that doesn’t cost more than a couple of dollars normally, plus lousy service. Off to bed....for a good nights sleep...FORGET IT! Noisy neigbours untill nearly 07.00 After a quick shower ...breakfast... Don’t be hungry because it takes ages before you are served. All in all for us a complete NO GO!

Hmm, I'm sorry that the character and setting of our hotel didn't meet what you were expecting. We do understand that our uniqueness and character is not for everyone. We do hope the remainder of your time away from home went well for you.
