We stayed in this hotel for one night. The room was incredibly small and cramped. My boyfriend is a bigger gentleman and this room was far too tiny. The prices for these awful rooms are way too high! I would rather have stayed at a Super 8 then pay $300 for one night in this dingy, dark, small hotel. The... More

I must preface my comments by the fact that we booked a two bedroom suite which seemed to be one of the nicest rooms in the Inn. The reviews that we had read made us nervous about what to expect but the shortage of accommodation in Jasper meant we did not have much choice. We enjoyed our stay here. The... More

We struggled to find accommodation in Jasper and ended up here. Room was in an old style motel block and was dark with paper thin walls - you could hear the guest next door coughing - and the wash basin is in the room. Walkway is very tatty - apparently they are replacing the flooring. The price of the room... More

The reception staff were abrupt and rushed us , not at all friendly, The rooms are small and cramped with the sink unit in the room to save space. We requested a quiet room and the room we where allocated on arrival albeit late #169 was very noisy as it was next to the pool and the noisy pump was... More

We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a family suite from a double queen room. The hotel itself is quite nice, the grounds are well kept and the rooms are clean. The room we were in had a kitchenette with beautiful granite countertops and a new, full sized stove!! The staff isn't the friendliest but they weren't outright... More

Dark and depressing rooms that could do with upgrading - evidence of leaks under sink. Visit from 4 legged animal of the squeak kind one night who enjoyed half a digestive biscuit. Money off and offer of another room but we decided that if there was one in our room then his family and friends would be nearby! There are... More

We opened the door to our room and couldn't believe how dark, dingy, cluttered and smelly it was. The thought of sleeping here was not great but it was only for one night so we had to put up with it. We certainly wouldn't want to stay here again.

Basically a lower-mid-range motel. The rooms are dreary but reasonably well cleaned. Beds comfortablish. As with most motels you get vehicles coming and going at all hours and having two floors, you get your parking space nicked by the upstairs people when you go out for dinner. Breakfasts are Not too bad, but the do Eggs Benedict, which is a... More

We paid $511.43/C for 2 nights at this hotel - The Tonquin Inn in Jasper, Alberta. The HIGHLIGHTS of this stay: NONE! The LOWLIGHTS: a tiny, hot room (A/C not working), an open Internet that worked only sporadically, parking on the street up a hill 150 yards away, no clean towels after the first night, no breakfast, no place to... It is apparent that even in increasingly popular Canadian tourism destinations such as Jasper, the tourism sector has suffered from a lack of ongoing investment. Tonquin Inn was no exception, with our rooms 107 and 108 on separate nights having no television set in the second bedroom, a super high nightly tariff of around C$330 in September 2016 that while...
