Nice staff, beautiful location, and clean facility. Regrettably, those are the only positives I can share regarding our experience at Pyramid Lake. After 5 days staying in rustic historical lodges in Glacier National Park and Waterton, we were looking for something a bit more "full service" and "upscale" during our 2 night stay in Jasper, which we incorrectly assumed Pyramid Lake was due to the higher price point than in-town lodging. We booked a Pyramid room, which was smaller and more "motel-ish" than it appears online. Parking areas were not paved, and hauling luggage to and from our room (one level down) across a muddy parking lot during a rainstorm was definitely the lowlight of what otherwise was a fantastic week touring Montana and the Canadian Rockies. We did not have a view of the lake, but rather the woods and a bit of mountain. Ironically, we did not see any wildlife besides Elk in the woods, HOWEVER, did see Mama Grizzly and cubs in downtown Jasper -- all the more reason we regretted our decision to stay outside of town. Also, as mentioned by another reviewer, the dining room was unexpectedly closed a few days before our reservation. The free breakfast of pre-wrapped muffins was, in my opinion, an embarrassing display. We do plan to return to Jasper, but will either plan well ahead so we can stay at the Fairmont (which was sold out when we planned our trip), stay in town at one of the less expensive motels, or opt to make the Jasper visit a day trip from Banff, which though more touristy has more options for lodging and dining.

Dear 442mariec, Thank you for taking the time to leave us with your review. I am pleased you found our facility clean, with a beautiful location and nice staff. I was disappointed to read we missed the mark on your stay and that you experienced some inconveniences during your time with us. I sincerely apologize for the muddy parking lot and deeply regret you could not see more wildlife around. The closure of the restaurant was posted on our and any partner's websites, and we would be happy to assist you with arranging transport should you need one. We strive to deliver the best service and hospitality to all our guests, and I hope you will consider one of our properties for your future visit. Best regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager

Checked in on a Friday evening. Staff were friendly and helpful especially when we forgot bowls to feed our dogs. They sent some right up. Our room was clean and cozy. The fireplace was lovely. The one thing we had an issue with was the lack of snow removal on the stairs and walkways. The walks did not appear to be shovelled after the last snowfall. Instead there were copious amounts of ice melt dumped all over. The crystals tracked into the room and there was only one tiny mat that wasn't sufficient to clean our boots on to prevent water and dirt from melting all over the entryway. That entryway is also the only way to the bathroom so once youre in your room with your boots off your socks/feet get filthy walking to the bathroom. We eventually used a towel to clean the area. Would be nice if there was a much larger rug to contain the mess or maybe a broom or mop. In addition, the resort is advertised as pet friendly so I would hope they used pet friendly ice melt because it was all over our dogs paws.

Room is very cozy and clean. We had a good sleep. Lake is frozen and I was able to walk on it. The Rockies are breath-taking. I am so amazed by its beauty. Food tastes really good. I love their Canadian Egg Benedict. Travis is very friendly. He served as well. We will surely visit this place again.

Just wow. What an experience. To be able to stay in this beautiful location for a few days. Ideally you need a car to get to town to eat out as the restaurant books up quickly. Breakfast there though was wonderful. All staff we met were chatty and friendly. Hire facilities were good, we tried them all. The island just up the road is steeped in history and well worth a walk. The room was spacious and clean. Met our needs.

Hello 616, Thank you for taking the time to leave us with such a great review and rating. I am happy to read you had a wonderful stay with us and took advantage of all our amenities. As Pines restaurant is a popular place to dine in Jasper, unfortunately, it is often fully booked. We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Kind regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager

We arrived late from the Rocky Mountaineer, woke up the next day and the views simply took our breath away. The fact that amenities here may be limited is what makes it such a special place. Being able to stay within the peace and tranquility of the lake and the vastness of the mountains is like nothing else we experienced in the Rockies. Other reviews complain about the lack of food for late arrivals and the cost of taxis. Sure, it’s a way out of town, and the restaurant hours are limited. But change that, and it would be trampled over by tourists in an instant. Be careful what you wish for!

The positives. The view was breathtaking and definitely one of the best to wake upto. The rooms basic but ok. In need of a little tlc. No room service which apparently is due to covid they are not entering rooms. The negatives. The smell. God only knows what causes the smell but it certainly is foul. We did ask a member of staff who said they thought it was the toilet facilities and apparently is all the time. No restaurant open so if you are here with no transport you are left with having to order in or get a take away. This should have been advised prior to arrival. Overall it was a lovely stay but needs a few tweaks

Firstly the positives. The room was incredible and the views amazing - could not fault it. We arrived not long after the power outage so was informed the restaurant was closed. I’m not sure why the restaurant was still closed when places in town were all back up and running again. Anyway the main issue for us is that we had to rely on taxis to get into town and back. These are an extortionate price at a minimum of 26 dollars each way. We were relying on the restaurant to have our food due to location however had no choice but to go into town each day for breakfast and dinner. They stated that due to the issues with the closure there would be complimentary breakfast the next morning. Initially I thought this was a nice touch, until I went to reception to be greeted by ropey croissants that were not fresh and some bottles of apple juice. Apparently was supposed to be fruit too but nothing left. This was disappointing. If only they could have provided some kind of breakfast hamper/pack I would have been more than willing to pay for it and would have saved us a fortune getting into town. Also a shame they don’t provide a shuttle type service to help people get into town and back - I would even pay half of that we had to for the taxi! The place is amazing and understand and appreciate the challenges faced after the power issues but just a few things would have really helped and made this experience truly amazing. The comments are made to be constructive and not critical.

Spectacular, Breathtaking, Magnificent 7 days Trip from Calgary, Edmonton, Jasper, Banff, a little of BC and back to Calgary. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Edmonton and the hotel is really nice with good restaurant and view of the river. In Jasper we stayed at the beautiful Pyramid Lake Resort. We stayed Fairmont Château in Banff and the hotel has nice structure and spectacular view but for the price you pay it is not worth it and amenities and the cleanliness is not that great. The restaurant in Lake Louise Inn is good.
