This 'Lodge' is, in my opinion, actually a motel. There are two floors of rooms set around a small parking lot. The walls to the rooms are extremely thin and we had noise from the plumbing from the room upstairs. The beds were comfortable. We thought it was very expensive for what we got. The lodge is an easy 10... More

This simple unassuming lodge cannot match the amenities of a commercial hotel but what can you expect in the deep mountains of the Canadian Rockies! We enjoyed living here. The rooms were neat and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was very useful. We could make our own breakfast and dinner. If you are not too... More

The location is great, as with everything in Jasper. The first room we were given was on top of the office and looked like a converted storage room. There is one window in the entire suite which looks onto the roof and is big enough to fit a small child through. Carpet and furniture could use a god cleaning or... More

The Maligne Lodge is at the beginning of the town of Jasper. A few minutes to walk to be "downtown". The room was a good size, clean and had an aircondition, hairdryer. Parkspaces for free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's worth to get up early in the morning and drive to the Pyramid Lake - you might... More

This hotel was alright. We had a 'pool view room' - which was literally in the swimming pool. Felt like they'd just added a pool to say they could have a pool but there wasn't really room. Our door directly opened onto the swimming pool so it was rather muggy and very very noisy as soon as anyone was in... More

Again ..another motel that bore a real resemblance to the film 'Vacancy'....mainly due to the decor....which seemed very brown....the guy on the desk was a dead-ringer for Gary Oldman....and so chilled....generally ok....it is hat it is...15 min walk into the main shops....Jasper is lovely !

We stayed at the Maligne Lodge for one night, and that was pretty much long enough. While it appeared very nice and clean, and the front desk staff were most pleasant and helpful, the room left a bit to be desired. First, there was only one lamp plugged in of the three in the room. There were no available plugs... More

It's a motel. Not quaint or cute or anything trendy that is being done with old motels these days. Small room with old, worn finishes and furniture, a dreadful view in our case. At least the mattress was comfortable, but the frame or foundation was creeky. And there is this freestanding machine that pretends to be an air conditioner: it... More

Booked a room for 4. The rooms were adequate for a quick sleepover. The beds were comfy, nice and clean but the pillow was hard. Furniture was so-so...could use an update but no biggy. What I like about this place was the indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, location easy walk to Patricia/ Connaught and there amazing coffee shop. The coffee... More

The lodge is an older restored motel (obviously), on the main drag just into the city city center area. Owners have attempted to upgrade but in our opinion were largely unsuccessful. The first room (reserved) had a portable air conditioner vented to the outside with a kind of dryer duct. It was noisy and within inches of one of the... More
