Firstly I want to say how friendly staff at the front desk are: Thanks so much for making me feel like family Ramil and Erwyn This hotel is close to everything inFort McMurray. It was easy to get to and from Airport and the work site from this hotel. Always greeted with a smile and a hello from their staff!

I stayed at Merit in January for several days. I have to say the staff are amazing! They get to know you and make sure you are taken care of. One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Pearl and staff were amazing. The hotel is clean, well cared for and an excellent price. Thank you again

Good value, great staff and an overall good experience. Underground parking in not available as yet after the flood and breakfast is limited. They do offer a $10 redeemable voucher for breakfast. I will definitely stay there in future.

We stayed a month and were so happy to have a suite where we could cook. No oven but mini fridge, stove with 2 burners and equipped very well with the basics for cooking and eating. Staff are all so friendly and helpful from the front desk to cleaning service and maintenance. I have to give extra kudos to Pearle who went over and beyond to buy some healthy snacks for me in the market. This hotel has a little market and give you a $10 card each day to buy whatever food you want. Lots of chocolate, pop, cookies and croissants. Some toiletries etc. I asked Pearle for some healthy food like yoghurt, juice and nuts. She bought them and treated me with Cashews - my favorite! Thank you to everyone at the Merit hotel. We will be back!

Good but not great breakfast was supposed to be included but they’re offering a small varieties of snacks instead when you’re on a business trip the breakfast meal is something very essential to start your day with

Read my comments within. We had reserved about 12 rooms for my sons Minor Hockey team and had a horrible experience. No hot breakfast as promised, not even a restaurant to eat at in hotel or nearby. In greasy downtown area where strip club/porn store. Did't even feel safe walking across to gas station. Pool room was freezing as well as water.

Dear Michelle S, Thank you for your review, first of all I would like to deeply apologize for the breakfast situation, the hot breakfast requirement did not make it to the right people to be arranged in a proper fashion. For the other items, I am not sure if you had spoken to other members of your group before submitting this review to us, however I must correct a few points that you have mentioned. We were more than willing to arrange to have your group moved to the Radisson but were told by the team rep that you had voted to stay at the Merit. We have always allowed our guest to use the pool at our sister hotel so I am not sure why it would have been refused at this time.
