I required a hotel in the downtown area this weekend. I was very pleased with the service, room, and amenities. The restaurant on location, The Riverside Bistro, is a great scenic place to eat. I left a review for that as well. There is only valet parking available, as this is downtown. For $30 a night you can have valet... More

Great small hotel - the location is amazing which allowed you to walk anywhere around downtown and the new amazing Roger Place Arena. The first impression is a outdated hotel, but the staff service is great and good comfortable rooms. The staff is amazing. The food quality could improve some, but not bad.

Staying in a Marriott guarantees one a certain standard but I think this hotel goes beyond this in several departments. Location: easily accessible with breath taking views from the rooms of the Saskatchewan river and the skyline landmarks of this buzzing city. It has an outside sitting area from where you can appreciate the views whilst imbibing culinary bliss. The... More

Post eloping, we visited the Marriott. It's beautiful, nice view and location. Hotel room pre paid ahead of time. Filipino woman at front vaguely greeted us, spoke in her language to a co-worker while reading computer screen. She then asked for my credit card. Assuming she was charging deposit of $100 for the 2 nights, we gave it to her.... More

Stayed here for a business visit, had a 2 queen room and felt very crowded in there. The only mirror is in the bathroom with no space for counter so very hard to put make-up or overnight bag in there. There isn't even a full length mirror or a mirror by the phone table. There was really no room to... More

Just east of the very historic and classy MacDonald Hotel (a member now of the Fairmont group) is the Thornton Court. Initially opened about 15 years ago from an old remodeled government building, it was named after Mr. Thornton, an early railroad builder who I believe became the President of CN Rail back in the day. Nice historic pictures and... More

I've stayed at a few hotels in the Marriot chain and have found them all to be at about the same level of quality and service (CY Marriott Downtown Ottawa stands out for service excellence). I must say though, that CY Marriott Downtown Edmonton exceeded my expectations in 3 areas: 1) The food in the Riverside Bistro is a level... More

My husband and I used our Marriott Rewards points to stay here, got a beautiful view of Edmonton's River Valley. The room was spacious and clean, enjoyed the fact that we could order breakfast in our room. Great location for taking in any of Edmonton's downtown shopping or festivals, the only downside was paying $30 for valet parking.

This was a pleasant surprise. The rate was cheap for the weekend and so I grabbed it. The room was a decent size and we had an amazing river valley view. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is an Impark lot out front that is very expensive - the hotel offers less expensive valet parking which we went... More

Hotel is in a good location and the outdoor patio restaurant had a breathtaking view! The rooms were typical courtyard, clean ,fresh and spacious.
