Our 4th time staying here, still the same great friendly service.Hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and secure, breakfast buffet was delicious, Only thing I wished our room had was a microwave. Regardless we will continue to stay here! Thanks!

Our experience at this hotel began with a check in that was somewhat difficult and quite lengthy, even though we are Wyndham members. The clerk was not very friendly and very officious. We have a small dog, and had reserved a pet room. This is not a " pet friendly" hotel, but only has a few pet friendly rooms near a poor quality part of the hotel. Our room was right next to an exit and a stairwell. There were many slamming doors during the night. Further, the exit door has a cigarette ashtray next to the door and smokers congregate right outside the exit. The hallway ( and our room ) smelled of secondhand smoke. The heating/cooling unit in the room came off and on very loudly every 15 minutes until we turned the whole thing off. The remainder of the night was more quiet, but the air in the room was very stale. This is an older hotel, with some upgrades, including fresh carpeting and paint in some rooms. It does need further upgrades to the heating units, and there should be more options for pet stays. On a slightly more positive note, breakfast staff were very pleasant and attentive, although the hot entrees were not very hot because the heating lamps under the trays were not all working. Overall the hotel does need some work.…
We went to Edmonton and needed to be close to the West Edmonton Mall for a memorial service. We found this hotel to be the best value around, as much as half the price of others nearby. Some family members stayed at other hotels close by, and they were much dirtier and tired-looking. This hotel had very comfortable beds, wonderful staff, from the housekeeping to the restaurant and check-in staff. The restaurant offered a full hot buffet-style breakfast that was very good and plentiful. The only less-than-stellar issue was the slow internet in our room.
Stayed 2 nights. Very nice hotel with a free buffet breakfast which had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes & either French toast or pancakes. Free parking around the property. Close to the West Edmonton Mall & lots of shopping around the hotel too.
The free buffet breakfast consisted of sausages, bacon & eggs & French toast & it was hot & deliscious, the beds were comfortable & the room was very clean, best hotel I have stayed in And is so close to the west Edmonton mall .. would definately go back
Room was good only thing was needs more lighting. Reasonable price through 3rd party. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and waffles. Staff very friendly.
I stayed at the Royal Hotel I stayed at the Royal Hotel in west Edmonton and it was absolutely fabulous! I cannot stop talking about this hotel! It is a short drive to West Edmonton mall. The staff was amazing (Lisa and Raj in the restaurant during breakfast were friendly and efficient) the beds were super comfy and the hot complimentary breakfast was great! This hotel is a hidden gem! We will be returning there on our next trip to Edmonton.
We have stayed there multiple times. Their executive one bed room rooms are the best. Under $200 somehow, whirlpool tub, living room space with sofa bed in case there are more of you. And those rooms are further from the banquet rooms so I highly recommend. We got a free buffet breakfast too im not sure if that always happens or it was just a certain day of the week. Stay here if you are planning a trip to West Edmonton Mall. 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk down the same road the hotel is on. Beats $400 plus a night for the most overrated hotel in Canada (you can figure it out) If travelling for business there is a cozy bar that doesn’t get too busy. Steels Restaurant is great. Have stayed there several times in my 20 years in this province just haven’t written a review but they’re the most value. I actually stay here sometimes even when I have no business in the west end. Highly recommend. Good luck!…
