My husband and I stay here a few times every year as it is quite convenient and affordable for a downtown hotel. This last visit, we spent about $15.00 extra and upgraded to the concierge floor. Our package included evening wine and cheese, continental breakfast and parking. We were too late for the wine and cheese but the breakfast was...

I stayed recently at the Chateau Lacombe on one of their "consierge" floors. When staying at the Chateau Lacombe choosing a room on a consiege floor is the way to go. The room was recently upgraded with new paint, carpet, new shower and entirely redone bathroom. The towels, toileteries and robe are all first class. There is a refrigerator, large...

This hotel became an Edmonton landmark from the moment it was built overlooking the river valley. Edmontonians know it as the place for celebrations that require a panoramic view of the world from its rooftop restaurant. For me, it's all about location: near enough for access to everything that's great about downtown Edmonton and apart enough for a great view...

Hello, Thank you for sharing your kind words about the Chateau Lacombe Hotel. The hotel was built in 1966, fully opened in 1967 and for almost 50 years has been the location of many memorable moments. We too never tire of the amazing views from both guest rooms and La Ronde, Edmonton's only revolving restaurant. Our local owners vision is...

WE STAYED HERE ON A DINNER/HOTEL ROMANCE PKG..We had robes, slippers, a plate of shortbread and chocolates( w/ the hotel name stamped on them)..a bottle of wine, a glass shower, and a beautiful view.. What we DIDN'T have in that 22nd floor room..was a way to turn down the heat! Even when you set it on the lowest setting(16C) it...

Here is a list of things that went wrong in chronological order during my stay. I couldn't make this up if I tried: 1. During check-in my credit card was denied twice. I told them this was impossible, I was not near the limit and had just used it. Deciding they could be right, I contacted my card company. My...

Chateau Lacombe seems like it's been part of Edmonton forever. It's glory days are behind it, but it still delivers a nice hotel at a fair price. Rooms are exceptionally large with sitting areas and a decent sized desk to work at. Rooms have ironing boards, coffee pots and fridges. There are no in-room safes. There are limited power outlets...

We always get our room with a view of the river valley, beautiful in any season. Thank you to the staff who always make our stay wonderful.
