My girlfriend and i stayed here one night to celebrate our anniversary expecting way more than we received. Before we even made it to our room the woman at the front desk was far less than helpful and made a scene about my credit card not being accepted because of her error (which she refused to admit) We spent more... I love coming here. We have been here just about everyone we stay downtown Edmonton. The staff is always friendly, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious! It's close to everything downtown and there is great parking! The river view rooms are great aswell :-)

Not that I mean this place is a unique, need to see hotel. But this a great place to stay, for a short time. The building was completed in 1964, is round, and is old. I believe all the rooms come with a view (it is round), we were on the 15th looking at downtown. The king size bed was... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your recent stay at the Chateau Lacombe Hotel. We are delighted to confirm that the hotel was opened in 1967, is round and does provide views of both our majestic river valley and our developing downtown, including the new Ice District. The Concierge guest rooms are fully renovated and... More

The Chateau offers great room rates with parking and breakfast included at a great rate. The rooms are very comfortable and have a coffee maker for the early riser. Having parking and breakfast included with room rate makes it the morning persons "one stop hassle free shop" Staff all very friendly and helpful, would recommend this location to anyone needing... The room wasn't massive but the 2 big queens were extremely comfortable with lovely fresh linens. Shower was nice and powerful and the towels new and fluffy. Very helpful staff (I left a really sentimental bracelet in my room and they found it and are sending it back. V pleased)

I work in the hotel industry so know the quirks and stresses of managing a hotel but this one leaves a lot to be desired. We booked this hotel online through Expedia. Upon arrival was impressed with the look of the hotel, friendly concierge in the lobby. That impression quickly faded when dealing with rude front desk staff. That sets... More

Thank you for your email with your feedback. Our sincere apologies for the challenges that occurred during your recent stay. The hotel was opened in 1967 and the developers did not foresee the influx and growth of trucks although they did have the foresight to build 600 plus stalls. Please note that we do have an additional parking lot adjacent... More

We first stayed here on our honeymoon 30 years ago and this visit was just as memorable. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Room service was on time and the food very hot. Friendly front desk staff checking us in and out. We will stay here again!

We came here back in 2013 and were deeply disappointed in the outdated rooms. At that time management wrote us to say they were upgrading and asked we return. So 2 years later we decided to try it out again. And I must say, what an improvement! We got the concierge king room. With it came the surprise of free... More

Picked this hotel for its location as I was staying for business. Found my room to be a little dated but comfortable. I only had room service food - it was mediocre. Wifi was fast and my room had a great view of the river. The front desk staff were clueless and slow, but friendly enough.
