We love to travel. It's our 'job'; we travel to open our eyes and our hearts to the rest of the world. We travel to meet wonderful people; whether they are other travellers or residents of that country. We travel to find new and better ways of doing things and then we bring them home to open other Calgarians hearts and minds. We appreciate Canada and profoundly understand how lucky we are to live here. We no longer listen to Canadians complain about their taxes - compared to most of the world, we are incredibly privileged to live here. Pay your taxes with a smile!! It is so wonderful to travel but the best place of all is HOME!
From the moment we arrived, Micheline made us feel so welcome. A wonderful lady, who took us to a fabulous local bar, where we never would have known about on our first evening. Micheline offered lots of advice and recommendations of places to see and do. I wish we were staying longer. The B&B was perfect for us. We had the Sunrise room, so had our own private entrance. There's a fridge, microwave, coffee and tea etc. Breakfasts each day have been different and really tasty and filling, setting us up nicely for our days out. Such a peaceful home, with a nice walk into Calgary downtown and back, even up the steps. Cannot praise this place enough. Thank you Micheline and Ken for looking after us and we will most definitely be returning 😉
Micheline was the best hostess ever! This rather large b&b with an amazing view was a great place for us to stay. It overlooks the stampede grounds and is within walking distance of many attractions. We only had to let micheline know what time we wanted breakfast and she had it made! Beautifully presented and a new very large breakfast every morning. She went above and beyond, driving us to our art class because we were there during a cold spell. Amazing lady! Most of the 3 rooms we saw were very large and comfortable with many windows. There is one really tiny room with a single bed. I mean tiny! I use a sleep ap machine and didn't even have to take the mask off to go to the washroom. Still a good value since those breakfasts made up for it! The other rooms I saw were huge. I would stay here again, especially if I could have a larger room. She also has an outdoor kitchen and lovely little outdoor space with room for sitting and kids toys. Very lovely.…
We stayed with Micheline from 7th to 10th July while we visited the Calgary Stampede. The B&B was very comfortable and welcoming, with the usual amenities plus a refrigerator and a microwave. There was a spectacular view over the Stampede showground and a short 20 minute walk to the Erlton entrance or a 30 minute walk in the opposite direction to the MacDonald Drive entrance by the Indian Village. Micheline was warm and friendly and very helpful with directions to local restaurants and shops. Micheline took us by car to the local Chinese restaurant. The breakfast room was very clean and the food was wonderful with a different meal each morning.
My wife and I visited Calgary for the stampede, (Another review). Micheline, The B/B owner is the loveliest lady you could wish to meet, nothing it to much trouble. The place is clean, the rooms are as if you were at home, with a twist. The location is 10ish mins walk from the stampede, perfect for visiting the Stampede, close to a Chinese restaurant and convenience store. If you want to walk into town that will take a little longer. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, "now she know how to make TEA" (For English visitors) Lol. If we where to go back to Calgary, Micheline Blais Boisvert would be the first booking I look at for availability @ City View Bed And Breakfast Calgry. Our thanks go out to Micheline & Ken for making our stay a stay to remember.
