The hotel is new and clean, the room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, great shower, and beautiful view of downtown Calgary. The staff was very accommodating, parking was free underground, and breakfast is included. The hotel is across the street from the Bow River and a great running/walking path. And, the location is fantastic. Kensington is a cute neighborhood with 5-6 blocks of restaurants and stores, including a games cafe and a supermarket, and a stop for the local subway/train. We would stay here again if we ever come back to Calgary!

Wonderful staff and a particular call out to Sarah!! She truly understands customer service and worked through many of my families special requests. Travelling as a family for two months causes some special circumstances and she went the extra mile on each request. Great representative for a wonderful hotel. Clean, nice breakfast included and an excellent Oxbow restaurant experience. The chef had some special creations worth checking out.

The complimentary breakfast is nothing like the picture!!! I chose this hotel because of the breakfast. No hot quiche or potatoes as depicted - in fact nothing hot. They had a small fridge with yogurt, small jars containing 2 cubes of cheese and 2 small pieces of sausage. A couple very sweet pastry choices that were obviously mass produced somewhere. Bread to be toasted. Oranges and apples. That was about it!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I am very sorry to read that our breakfast did not meet your expectations. Our complimentary continental breakfast is offered daily from 7AM - 10AM in our lounge and consists of juices, yogurt parfaits, overnight oats, meat & cheese as well as breads, baked goods and fruit. Our onsite restaurant Oxbow is currently serving brunch on Sundays from 10AM - 2PM where guests may enjoy their a la carte menu served in the dining room or on our soon to be open sunny patio.

Fantastic hotel in the bustling area of Kensington. Top quality room with exceptional service, staff are highly attentive and make the visit wonderfully personal. Highly recommended, best hotel I’ve stayed in in the Calgary area.

Biz trip. Had stayed at a new downtown hotel (the wk beige for 1n). Didn’t like the location. Was recommended this hotel mainly for its location in the easy walking Kensington area. Great hip safe nhood. I think I may have gone into every bar, resto and store during my stay. The free parking was a huge plus too. The aforementioned downtown hotel charged me $30/n for parking. Continental Breakf was nicely done tho not expansive. More than engh for majority of travellers. Sadly the Oxbow resto has limited hrs so wasn’t able to dine there. On 1 night my friend and I came at 850pm and kitchen was close and staff cleaning up. Front desk were helpful with my queries and requests. Requested Humidifier(s) didn’t work (gave up on the 2nd). Rm was dry (YYC air) and hot so I had the windows open most of the time. I’m back in a few months and have rebooked here. That shld tell you my conclusion.

Friendly and welcoming staff who were helpful. Parking was complimentary and safe. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a fireplace, a huge soaker tub (bathtub was my favourite part!) and rain shower. The Skoah toiletries were perfect. At first I was a bit worried about the noise of traffic from nearby memorial drive but it didn’t disturb me once. The location for walking around Kensington and over to Eau Claire was perfect. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. My only suggestion would be adding some “soft pillows” to the bed as they were all pretty firm. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

This is a nice small hotel with a nice restaurant … actually based on the signages, it seems to be more a restaurant (Oxbow) with a hotel ;-) All the staffs we encountered were super helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for the artsy, walkable Kensington area of Calgary. One big downside is there is no dedicated place to stash the car on Memorial Drive while trying to check in. The attached under ground garage was in an alley way in the back without any sign indicating it is for the hotel. Once we figured that out, getting in and out was no more difficult than any other hotels we stayed in.

Fantastic little boutique hotel in a great location. As this hotel is quite small there is no gym or pool, but the excellent, personalized service more than makes up for that. The staff is nothing short of amazing. You are walking distance to shopping and restaurants in Kensington, but honestly the Oxbow restaurant is so good you will want to eat there. We ate there three out of four nights. It's THAT good. Nice wine selection too. Luxury room - entry level- no fridge but everything else you need. The still and sparkling water refreshed daily was a nice touch. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The continental breakfast is standard fare, but presented very nicely. We enjoyed it. We look forward to staying here again.

We were recommended by Canadian Surgical Solutions - Clearpoint to stay at Hotel Arts Kensington during my husband’s knee replacement surgery. They met our every request to make our stay comfortable with efficiency and kindness- providing a ground floor room, bath stool, fridge, kettle, frequent ice, specific timed room cleaning, installing a raised toilet seat and luggage handling arriving and departing. I can’t say enough good things about them all. The room was spacious with a lovely outdoor patio off it.
