Every time we go to Calgary we stay at this hotel. We have two small dogs, and are all treated like royalty. Everyone greets us by our names. The rooms are so comfortable.
The Club Floors are very quiet, and the lounge excellent!
We recently spent the weekend at the Sheraton Eau Claire and enjoyed everything about it. There were multiple summer festivals within walking distance, and we brought our bikes and rode the pathway system along the river for about 4 hours. The hotel stored our bikes...More

Hi, Depending what time of year you are in Calgary, there are all kinds of attractions! Not likely any challenging hiking in downtown, but lots of great walks including Prince's Island Park and a scenic walk to the Zoo at St.George's island. Biking, rollerblading along the River path goes from downtown to Bowmont Park in the Northwest or all the way to Chestermere Lake in the Southeast. In the winter, lots of indoor attractions including shopping in The Core, the Calgary Tower, even the Zoo which has plenty of indoor exhibits to keep you warm. This would be an excellent location if you came in July for the Calgary Stampede as the Light rail train is 2 stops from the fair-grounds.
This is a high end hotel with all the comfort amenities like A/C, downtown views, valet underground parking and restaurants.
Just like some of the others commented...yes there is other parking (literally across the street from the hotel) but yes you have to pay. You can also park on the street and if you are up for getting up early (like by 7am... More
Just like some of the others commented...yes there is other parking (literally across the street from the hotel) but yes you have to pay. You can also park on the street and if you are up for getting up early (like by 7am) you may be able to play that game of less $$ but you need to be on top of things. Valet and self are both really good options however.
