We love this place. Close to everything you need… well, except for a coffee shop that has espressos … but other than that it has everything close by. It even has an indoor golf simulator in the common. The lounge and restaurant in the hotel had delicious food and so did the rest of the common. Places like Hungry’s restaurant was so delicious and they make everything from scratch. The front desk staff was great to deal with. Especially Iryna, she was great. The only downside I found was the extra blankets were super scratchy and rough. Not very soft for a nights sleep.

Our overall experience here was good. The room was clean, staff were friendly, waterslide was fun. our couple complaints would be that there were some kids (8-12 years old) running around the halls for hours SCREAMING at each other. The other issue is that the hot tub was SO hot you could barley sit in it - like it was not enjoyable AT ALL.

First the good: We've stayed here many times. The lounge is great with good reasonably priced food. Most staff are great, especially front desk, lounge and restaurant. This time we had no air conditioning, but it was fixed immediately upon reporting it. Now the bad: After the second night we stayed here, we left a $5 tip for the cleaning staff and expected our room to be neat and tidy when returning to the room. We were gone all day and returned around 6 to find that our room was not cleaned at all, but the tip was gone!!! I explained what happened to the front desk and asked them to relay the message to the manager. We heard nothing. Not even an apology. We will probably stay elsewhere on our next visit to Calgary.

This hotel is an older style and the decor, including the rooms, is very dated but our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a room with two Queen beds, a microwave, bar fridge and a comfortable chair and, although the hotel was quite busy, it was quiet. A couple of negatives - the rug badly needed replacing as it was wrinkled, the in-room air conditioning/heater was extremely noisy and for those who rely on their electronics, there was only one USB charger. Check in and out was quick and easy and all staff we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is rather isolated in a mainly industrial area and there is virtually nothing within walking distance. I felt the rate we paid was on the high side, especially when looking at the normal rates advertised, however, the location was convenient for us as we had an appropriate nearby.

This hotel is outdated and dirty. I was treated poorly by staff and their manners were disgusting. The tv didn't work. The vending machines were more than half out of operation. I was here with many colleagues that all had the same problem with the ignorance of the manager. I felt like I was coming and going from a prison with the screening production they enforced with a pandemic that is no longer in full force!!

Cold hot tub, no hot water in our room. The front line staff were great but unfortunately there was no management there to assist us with our concerns. When I emailed the front office manager, Darcia, about the experience the response was that the issues were looked into and nothing could be done. We were wrong they were right and it felt like no one actually cared about our experience at the end of the day.

Response from Perry Wilford, General Manager at The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre
Responded Aug 4, 2021
Thank you for taking the time to detail your concerns. As we weren't made aware of your concerns until checkout, there was little we could do at that time. As the hotel was almost full and we had heard no other concerns regarding hot water issues, I am at a loss to explain it. We most certainly would have provided a room move at the time and I am aware that out front office manager explained that to you. I am sorry that the hot tub temperature was not to your standard. While I can't say what any issue may have been with it, it was certainly clear that our pool facility was in heavy use that weekend and the systems controlling it does play a lot of catch up. P. Wilford. General Manager.

On Sunday August 1 st several groups of motorcycle riders gathered in the outer parking lot to attend a Birthday Ride for a young lady in the area who is being bullied by other residents on her street. These groups of riders were in the lot for approximately 40 minutes. An individual from the hotel management team approached with a less than friendly demeanour and asked “ What am I seeing here”. He was directed to the organizer and our purpose for being there was explained prior to stomping off in a huff! The organizer perhaps should have let the staff know what was planned. As a loyal customer of this Hotel I am unlikely to support the Glenmore Inn in the future. Very disappointed with the lack of sensitivity to the emotional support our groups were providing to members of the community.

The Glenmore Inn operates and maintains its private parking lot on our property for the guests of the Hotel. At no time was permission asked for or given to this organization to utilize our space. It was with surprise that I was informed by our guests that there was a motorcycle meet going on in our parking lot. As we were hosting a large event with show dogs, there was considerable aggravation to the guests and their animals adjacent to where this group were marshalling their motorcycles. It is rather presumptuous to assume we wouldn’t have something to say about what happens on our property, particularly when we are blindsided by it. As to the question of sensitivity, we had absolutely no idea what was going on, who the organization was or what your goals were. What we did know is that we had complaining guests and a group on our property that had no prior permission to be there. Had we been asked, perhaps there was a solution that may have been granted for another area of the parking lot that wouldn’t disturb our guests, something we have accommodated before. I am sorry you will not be using our Hotel again for the reasons you have stated, particularly when we had no idea who you were or what was happening. This could all have been avoided. Perry Wilford General Manager.

Just got back home from the Glennmore Inn, we went to celebrate my birthday (April 5th) with my husband and 3 kids. We chose this Hotel because it's close to home, we got Zoo tickets for a future use, and breakfast included. Great deal, everything for $197.00 taxes in for a family of 5! Hotel room (815) was great, husband and kids slept well. I did not because I prefer softer pillows and mattresses. The shower did scream at me for a good minute then stopped, sounded like an airplane trying to take off. Room was clean and warm. We got 2 hours of pool time on the Monday (but only after complaining because the lady at front told us that we couldn't have more time consecutively even if it wasn't booked by someone else as it was not Hotel policy), and 1 hour before checking out on Tuesday. The pool is by far the best place to be if you're a 5, 7, 9 year old!! Breakfast was Amazing, our waitress was phenomenal. She was great with the kids (a Grandmother I'm sure), she was very attentive to us. The food was so good, the kids all ordered the pancakes with strawberries...3 huge huge pancakes! My husband and I both enjoyed our breakfasts as well and had to box them up to take home (as did the kids). We never did connect to the Wifi, so I am not sure how that worked. The TV does not have a movie rental which was a bit disappointing because we had to watch a movie with commercials that was just on TV (I know a small thing but does impact time and employability). Loved being able to see the mountains when we got off the elevator on the 8th floor. So beautiful. Even the kids would stand on the chairs to enjoy the view. The restaurant is close to a large variety of restaurants, so you do have multiple options. We would go again.

Thank you for the excellent rating and review and happy belated Birthday! We were happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of our zoo package, the pool and our Garden Court Restaurant. We have had to put in some pool booking rules to be fair to all our guests, but it sounds like you had 3 fun filled hours at the pool! We will pass along your excellent comments to our restaurant staff- our Strawberry pancakes are AMAZING as you said. WE hope to have the opportunity to welcome you all back again soon!

Both check in and check out were simple with no hassles. I was up on the 6th floor so I didn't hear any road noise at night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and on the softer side. There was a weird smell when initially turning the water on to shower, but I had hot water so I was happy. It took me a while to figure out how the heat worked and then it took a while for the room to warm up - basically I was cold when I went to bed but it was ridiculously warm when I woke up. The WiFi here was basically non-existent; I'd like to say spotty but that would be lying as I actually had connectivity after check out back in my truck compared to my room. Also, I thought this was a non-smoking property, but there were cigarette butts in the hallway and that's a little bit gross.
