Hotel no longer exists. These have been converted into apartments. There's nothing in downtown Calgary quite like this. The International Apartments (New) has taken the iconic International Hotel (Now Closed) and transformed it into stunning pet friendly apartments you'll want to call home. Paired with premium condo-style amenities, it's everything you're looking for. We haven't forgotten the long history of the property, which is why every aspect of designing these apartments was laboured over to achieve the perfect mix between vintage and modern. Reminiscent of this iconic boutique location, The International boasts matchless choice – from Wine Lounge to Spin Class Studio – offering a venue to perfectly accommodate every occasion.
The hotel has a lot of great features such as service, cleanliness, beds and pillows - exceptional. Elevator noise and having to park my vehicle 2 blocks away as it too high to fit into the underground parking garage. I appreciated the access to the +15 walkways that I was able to use to go to my meetings at the Bow Center.
Please refer to my last two comments. I did enjoy your fitness facility almost every day. Hope your renovation will be all done soon and make the look of the entrance area more attractive and easy for the clients to give an impression of a hotel.
It was very hot even with thermostat turned off. Need to open windows or turn on a/c to keep room half tolerable. Terrible energy efficiency/carbon footprint considering it was 20 below outside. Vehicles over 6feet have to park 3 blocks away. Renovations taking forever.
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Central location to the places we wanted to go. Friendly staff and great price! Pillows weren't the greatest but that's the only complaint I would have about our whole stay.
Stay at your own peril. Maids would enter my room without knocking then give you attitude. Other staff entered my room at 5am when I was asleep and took pictures....how do I know, they later sent them to me. I was charged $500 for smoking in my room, which I did not...their proof, an empty pack of cigarettes on the kitchen table. No issues with smell, no burns, just an empty pack of smokes cost me $500! What's worse, I have called an emailed for the last year, and never once have they replied or returned a phone call. Remember, since it's not a chain, you have zero recourse and they get to rip you off. Stay if you don't mind scamming staff, staff taking pictures of you while you sleep, breaking and entering your suite and false credit card charges! You have been warned.
Recently renovated rooms. Hotel still a construction zone. This is a all suite hotel with new kitchen appliances. Overpriced for that particular weekend. Room comfortable enough. No bar or restaurant. Great exercise room and pool. Lobby and front desk area not impressive looking. Something not right here. Can't put my finger on it. I think they may be converting building to a condo.
A rude check in off the get go. Parking was an added expense. Additionally it was not secure and the entrance to parking garage was littered with glass. NO HOT WATER in the shower for duration of the stay. Do not stay here. Unhelpful staff and cold showers are not something you want to deal with.
This is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are very large and comfortable. Great value!! The only downside is there is no onsite restaurant but there are several great choices within a 5 minute walk.
Be prepared to leave the hotel for all dinning and drinking excursions. The cafe and bar services were discontinued during the renovations done this year. The rooms were quite nice with comfortable beds and a kitchenette but no ice or vending machines within the hotel. There are bars and restaurants nearby.
