Overall, decent stay in spectacular setting. Restaurant and service were excellent. Rooms quite dated, so be prepared. Food is great. Walks great. Views great. All that said, price is a bit on the high side.

We arrived at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge (or Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah) as a surprise birthday gift from my family. As one drives up to the Lodge one is struck by the beauty of the nearby Bow Lake and Glacier. Stepping into the Lodge one could be stepping back into the 1940's or 1950's as this is an authentic tourist lodge. It is gorgeous... More

I can see the "charm" some people may find in this place, but in terms of price per value you get way less than other lodges in the area. I ordered the room with the lake view only to hear our neighbours from upstairs the minute we walked in. The place is so old you really hear anything from everywhere.... More

We stayed one night, beautiful location right by the Lake. There is a rustic element to the place and a sense of history. However the standard of the room left a lot to be desired considering the price charged. While the bed was large, high of the ground and excellent, the bathroom was digusting, it was so old, it was... More

Wonderful location --- that is the best thing about it . Our room was on the second floor --a bit of a hike up with heavy suitcases and no help offered .The actual beds themselves were good but the room was very very old fashioned with very thin walls and overnight I could hear next door snoring away [ he... The Num Ti Jah-Lodge is located at the wonderful Bow Lake in the stunning Banff National Park. We booked this hotel during our Canada trip as it is very conveniently located in the heart of the most famous national parks. We stayed at Num Ti Jah lodge for 2 nights .( 2 nights too many ) My advise would be to give this place a pass. The drive in is down a road with many pot holes , the parking lot was no better. The hotel was very dingy. Our room was large with cheap plywood furniture and very uncomfortable... More

We visited the Lodge for dinner only. The menu choices where basic yet with a feel of fine dining. We had to vegetarian (home made) pastas, one halibut and one ribeye steak. With two pops the bill totaled $160. With that kind of price tag expectations are higher accordingly. But... although the pastas where ok, the halibut was overcooked and... More

The Lodge is cute from the outside but needs a lot of work on the inside. The lighting flickered in the room. The bathroom was disgusting and I would not bath my dog in it. I get what is great about this hotel -- its history, its remoteness, and its amazing location on a pristine mountain lake. So I was entirely OK with the simple room, thin walls, and tiny bathroom.
