We visited the Lodge for dinner only. The menu choices where basic yet with a feel of fine dining. We had to vegetarian (home made) pastas, one halibut and one ribeye steak. With two pops the bill totaled $160. With that kind of price tag expectations are higher accordingly. But... although the pastas where ok, the halibut was overcooked and... More

Hello Coira69, I am so sorry to hear your meal wasn't entirely to your satisfaction and, by the sounds of it, not to the standards of our very talented and hard-working kitchen staff. We always work very hard to offer our guests only the finest quality service and food. We do hope you choose to join us again in the... More

The Lodge is cute from the outside but needs a lot of work on the inside. The lighting flickered in the room. The bathroom was disgusting and I would not bath my dog in it. Our mountain view was through a very small window with mirrors on each side to make it seem larger. It smelled damp and musty. If... More

Hello Tanya, I'm sorry to hear this was the impression with which you left our property. We maintain very high standards of cleanliness in-house and while some of the amenities are certainly aging, I, as well as our staff, can assure you our facilities are kept exceptionally sanitary. The lighting flickers in the room because we are off the grid,... More

I get what is great about this hotel -- its history, its remoteness, and its amazing location on a pristine mountain lake. So I was entirely OK with the simple room, thin walls, and tiny bathroom. I enjoyed the experience of simply being there and found the bed and room pretty comfortable. Any upgrades to the rooms would ruin what... More

Great location and friendly young, staff but this place is definitely living on past glories. We were expecting a lovely meal, given the TA ratings we'd read, but were severely disappointed. The salad course was promising but fish was overcooked and dried out. Not really forgivable given the prices that were being charged. It's as if the chef was away... More

We arrived early in the day and front desk made allowance for our arrival by expediting room cleaning. Front desk staff very helpful. It was as we expected for an older hotel and love the idea of preserving it's historic value. No TVs, phones. Digital detox in order. Charming...much character...loved it!

Enjoyed our stay here. The location can't be beat. The scenary is absolutely stunning. Rooms are basic yet comfortable. Note that there is no elevator -this wasn't an issue for us, but could be for some.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Sept. Whilst the location is stunning the lodge is let down by a lack of sound-proofing preventing an undisputed night's sleep. The rooms are sparsely decorated but the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was very cosy. The restaurant was pricey but the food was excellent and the restaurant staff were lovely... More

What an amazing experience. This is an old style log cabin type lodge originally built in the early 1900s. Rooms have no TV, no radio and no clocks..... just a lot of peace and quiet. The views are amazing. Bow lake is a beautiful shade of green., There's a beautiful trail around the Bow Lake. The trail eventually leads you... More

We were here for two nights with tween boys (11 & 13). We hiked and enjoyed the pool table, played cards and felt entirely at home in a setting that is imbued with history, adventure and unsurpassed beauty. We were able to play cards by the fireplace and have scrumptious dinners and SLOW DOWN together. I cannot recommend this place... More
