A stunning hotel on a stunning property surrounded by mountains and in front of the emerald green lake louise. A waterfront walk and hiking trails or rent a kayak. Rooms are lovely. The outdoor bar area was special with great food and the fairview dining room has stunning views, top notch meals. The only downside is that the hotel can get very busy in hallways, washrooms and deli with people just visting the area for the day and not guests at the hotel. A very special place.

2 nights at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and you’ll think you’ve arrived in heaven. The staff are wonderful - from the first touch point at check-in through the equipment rental experience to all the restaurant staff and including the amazing customer service team that made sure we had everything we needed at every moment of our stay! Frozen Lake Louise and the annual ice castle competition made it feel like a winter wonderland - skating on the lake at night and strolling through the ice sculptures at dusk was like being in a fairy tale! Late night snacks at Alpine Social and dinner at Walliser Stube were both top rate - service was attentive without being overwhelming and the food was top notch, the “Chateau Experience” at Walliser was well worth it.

Just a little feedback about our afternoon tea experience. I booked the fairmont afternoon tea as my family are visiting and I thought it would be a lovely thing for us all to do together, especially after it being confirmed previously that you offer a vegan alternative, and after having the vegan food in the banff fairmont I assumed there would be no issues and was very much looking forward to it. It was a beautiful setting, and we had an amazing view of the lake, but we were very disappointed at what was provided for our vegan alternative, it all tasted great but instead of caviar on salmon etc and a scone we we given cucumber and vegetables on a very tiny piece of bread, so we were left waiting while everyone else finished their scone. We were told that there were no vegan deserts but on the buffet table it was full of a variety of non vegan cakes, and that all they could offer was fruit sorbet... We were later informed that they had run out of sorbet but had chocolate cake that was vegan, so we were unsure why this wasn’t offered as an option as well as the sorbet. We were also quite surprised when we were charged exactly the same for our afternoon tea as the ‘normal’ afternoon tea, where they had unlimited access to the desserts table, caviar, salmon and lobster sandwiches and a scone. I feel $56 not including tax was quite expensive for chocolate cake and cucumber on bread to put it simply. I was also told before when I first asked about the vegan afternoon tea to give them notice when you book a vegan afternoon tea, which I did so it was quite disappointing that it seemed very unprepared. My family loved their afternoon tea which was my main priority, but just thought I should mention it so another fellow vegan doesn’t have a similar experience. I don’t want this to come across as overly negative as the general experience was really good, however I do feel like this is an issue that should be addressed going forward especially considering the very high standards of vegan options that are available elsewhere and the world class reputation of the fairmont and their chefs.

Our room was stunning and spacious and quiet with large windows overlooking the lake. All the amenities were great from the pool to the restaurants to the activities, including guided hikes and yoga. What an amazing escape! The service was also excellent. It's expensive but worth it.

Our family has stayed in many 5 star hotels on different vacations, and the Gold Level of this hotel was absolutely amazing!! The staff is awesome, the food is super yummy, our room was spectacular, service was fantastic, and the lake was stunning!! What I also loved about it is the activities list on the website. I didn't have to do any research, it was all listed right there. I picked the activities that would be right for our family, called the concierge, and they book it all. This was our best vacation yet...hands down!!!!
