WOW! Our whole experience was amazing. The scenery, the good, drink and facilities. Definitely worth the price. Watching the sunrise from our lake view room was magical . Our meals and drink were great along with all staff very attentive. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I stay here every winter and summer, and even though we have spent well over 100 nights here, we still have reason to come back again. On this summer visit, we treated my mother and cousin to a nice 3-week vacation, split between the Chateau Lake Louise and the Banff Springs Hotel. Because there were four of us travelling, we booked a Two Bedroom Lakeview Suite. We were pleased to be assigned to 859 on the top floor. Arriving at the hotel, the valet staff promptly greeted us, unloaded our bags, and handed us the keys to our suite. We left the car with the valet and headed to the suite. It wasn't busy at the front desk, but it was nice to be able to skip and head directly to the suite. We were greeted in the suite by a nice bottle of wine and a welcome snack. Accor Diamond member benefits, such as the drink vouchers, were also provided on arrival. The suite was beautifully renovated, and provided good space for the four of us. With two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, large closets, a lovely living room and dining area, the suite had great space. And of course, great views from the six windows across the front of the turret! The only thing it could have used, was some additional dresser space for clothing in the second bedroom. The master bedroom had plenty of drawer space. We ate dinners in the Fairview, Alpine Social, Walliser Stube (always my favourite) and several times at the Lakeview Lounge. We had breakfast in Lago most mornings, but also ordered in-room dining a few times. It's nice to have breakfast included via both options. All meals were excellent. I don't know if we just got lucky, but we seemed to get the best window table for every meal (except Alpine Social, which doesn't really have any views), so that was appreciated. On our first day while having dinner in the Lakeview Lounge, the hotel's Manager of Dining Services came to our table, and said she noticed us having dinner, and offered any assistance with any meals for the remainder of our stay. We already had reservations for remaining nights, but it was very nice of her to reach out. If I had one complaint, it was about the time to get breakfast. There was nearly always a line to get a table, and with no way to reserve. Guests in suites are supposed to have priority dining access, but that clearly doesn't apply to breakfast! It also would be nice if you could have in-room dining earlier than 7:15, which is too late when planning some early morning hikes or trying to get to a Lake O'Hara bus reservation. I don't remember it like this on any of our prior stays, so this is an area that really needs to be addressed. I'm hoping once the delayed renovation of Louiza is completed and they finally open, perhaps they will offer breakfast in two restaurants? They certainly need more breakfast capacity to eliminate the waits. While not the responsibility of the hotel, over the course of the nearly two weeks we stayed here, it certainly helped that the weather was fabulous, with only one day with cloudy skies. We used the Moraine Lake shuttle bus a couple of times during the stay. We hiked about 50 miles and climbed a couple of peaks. It was a great trip! Now we just have to wait until March for our return visit.

Great location and views but lodge needs updating in many areas. Bathrooms are extremely small and outdated. Windows were filthy and other aspects of the cleanliness were also lacking throughout the property. Weeds in the decks and walkways and in the flower beds. For the prices charged the attention to detail was way off. I have stayed in many "park lodges" around the world and all were much nicer and better maintained.

What should have been a holiday stay of a lifetime was awful! Our room overlooked the lake which was stunning, however that was the ONLY thing that was good. On arrival our cases were taken from us and we waited over an hour for them to be delivered to our room! Secondly we had no air conditioning the room was 28• & you couldn’t breathe. After contacting reception they said they would send up a portable unit. This was left with a tube out the window meaning we had to leave the windows open all night, which I don’t like! Thirdly you are trapped here as no means of transport to get anywhere, Forth the food/drinks are extortionate prices, we found the cheapest thing on the menu to eat & it was ridiculously expensive! Fifth the plug in the bath only worked if you jammed it underneath with a flannel, sixth no China cups in the rooms for hot drinks only plastic cups or glasses!!! Kettle in the cupboard under the tv & no sockets between beds for charging phones. There was a 5 point extension lead down the side of one bed but that was full! Elevator was a hike away from the room! Is this a travelodge or the Fairmont!! Stayed in much nicer less expensive hotels all over the world. Would NOT recommend this hotel. Beds very high and hard. Such a shame as everywhere else we have stayed in Canada the beds have been wonderful!! Glad we were only here 1 night. Everyone kept talking about how fantastic this hotel was & it really isn’t!! The state of the beds, carpet etc as you will See from my pictures does not represent the status of the Fairmont group.

Brilliant 2 nights staying at the hotel. Service was excellent and the room quality fantastic! We had a lake view room so we were able to wake up & watch the incredible sunrise from our room! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary whilst there & appreciated the gesture of a bottle of fizz in our room to mark the occasion. Highly recommend this hotel - it may be expensive but it’s worth it!

I have read so many things about this Hotel. Some guide books call it a monstrous blot on the landscape. Others are a bit kinder by calling it a Disney castle. It just goes to show that it is different things to different people. Personally I loved our stay here. We arrived at the Hotel as part of a Rocky Mountaineer tour. In the morning we had been touring Yoho National Park. Yes the Hotel is big. But it needs to be to cope with the demand of people who want to stay in this area. Let me tell you no other Hotel has the view that this one does. We were given our room key on arrival. My daughter and I went straight to the desk in order to book dinner for the evening. There was a bit of a que as all coach parties arrive at the same time. The Concierge staff are polite and very helpful. Once we had booked dinner we went to our room. Oh my goodness on opening the door what a view. It was absolutely stunning. I have never in all my life had such an incredible view from any hotel window anywhere in the world. Out came the cameras as my daughter and I took photos of this view. It is hard to capture by camera, what you see with the eye. But we did our best. We decided to get some lunch so went to the onsite deli and got a hot chocolate and sandwich. Both were delicious and reasonably priced considering Canada is incredibly expensive. We went into the gardens and ate the sandwiches sitting in front of that incredible view. We then decided to walk along the lake side. We went right to the end and was rewarded by seeing some beautiful birds that were iridescent blue with coxcombes on their heads. We also saw a couple of chip monks playing. As we walked back along the lake side we could see the Hotel. To my eye it was not a blot on the landscape, but a lovely French style Chateau in the mountain view. It did not spoil the view. It was dwarfed by the mountains. My daughter and I both agreed that staying here was one of the highlights of our holiday. The rooms were spacious by UK standards. With two double beds. The beds were very comfortable as all the beds were in the Fairmont Hotels that we stayed in. With good quality bedding, pillows, towels and toiletries. Our room was bright and spotlessly clean. But for us it was the view that made this place so special. We had dinner in the Mediterranean restaurant. The food was good and freshly cooked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We also had breakfast there the next day. I can't say that the breakfast is cheap at $31 Canadian per head. But the food was tasty, plentiful and freshly cooked. It was buffet service with table service for hot and cold drinks. Staff were quick and efficient and very friendly. Would I recommend this hotel. Yes I would. It is a very special place, in an incredible setting. There is nowhere else like this place. If you go, get a lake view room. You won't be sorry.

We had a wonderful night in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. We stayed here few years ago, so we know the hotel and rooms. But we still enjoyed the room's view and were still exciting while open the curtain to see the beautiful lake. We had our dinner in Walliser Stube Restaurant. The staffs were very warmly and friendly. The service was excellent. We were very surprised to see a bubbly and a cake in our room to celebrate my wife's birthday after our dinner. Even we didn't mention it at reception when we check-in. We really appreciate the kindly services and never forget this wonderful night. We will come back again even we are far from Australia.

We did not like this hotel. First, we were booked a mountain view room, but were assigned a parking lot view. When I went to dispute the booking, the agent tried to argue with me. Second, our room had a portable AC unit placed with a vent blowing out to the screen window. We were unable to close the window, and we had to keep the curtains closed, otherwise insects would come in thru the flimsy screen. Third, the sheets and towels were dull and dingy. Fourth, there were no outlets or USB ports in the room. We had to charge our phones in the bathroom, which was an interesting balancing act as the counter space was limited. Fifth, WiFi was not complementary. Sixth, there is nothing else to do at Lake Louise. There are no shuttles and no Ubers. You are trapped at the hotel and forced to dine at the hotel. The ONLY plus to this hotel is the easy access to the beautiful Lake Louise.

From the minute we walked onto the 7th floor, we knew this would be a totally unique and incredible experience. The lounge, food, concierge, rooms - everything was A+. I kept telling my husband that I knew I would love Lake Louise and the hotel, but we were totally blown away. We would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for your hospitality and warmth!

The setting for this hotel is stunning. The views of the lake are amazing. We arrived at about 1pm and our room wasn't ready so we left our bags with the bell boys and had a walk around the lake. There was 2 walks but we chose the shorter one around the edge of the lake. Came back to the hotel and sat on the patio of the Lakeside Lounge for a lovely glass of sangria. Our bags were already in our room when we got there. The room was not as small as I thought it would be and was beautifully furnished. the bathroom was compact but had plenty of space for what you needed. The view was way we were here and the room did not disappoint. We went to the Alpine Social for a drink and it took a while to get a seat. I asked if we could sit at the bar but they insisted we had a table and it took quite a while to get a drink and about the same amount of time to pay for it. Pleased we had made a reservation for the Lakeside Lounge as it was full. Had a lovely table overlooking the lake. Not a very big menu but enough to choose from. We both opted for steak and shared olives and bread to start. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the House Red was good. Even had room for a pudding and the Raspberry Peach Orchard was the best dessert my husband had had all holiday. Check out was quick and easy the next day. This is a very big and busy hotel but it felt very calm and peaceful, just make sure you make a reservation for an evening meal.
