I am so glad the conference I went to was at the Chateau Lake Louise. First and foremost the venue is spectacular. It is literally a crown jewel nestled within the majesty of mountains. The service of all of the staff here definitely lived up to the Fairmont name: courteous, gracious and always see to have a joy at work. I know it’s a hotel and it’s their job to serve in this way: at this hotel, though, all of the staff seem so genuine. I was also very fortunate to be able to stay on the Fairmont Gold Floor and enjoy the wonderful delight that is the Gold Lounge. It is definitely worth it - from their amazing breakfast to their all day snacks to their canapés at night: it was definitely awesome! The most important part, again, was the staff: kind, courteous, thoughtful. They all seemed so passionate about their work and so happy to be working there. Angela, the Assistant Manager, definitely does a great job and encouraging staff to give their best and it definitely shows. This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise and I think it was even better than the first time. I would definitely come again! a…
My wife and I stay here every winter and summer, and even though we have spent well over 100 nights here, we still have reason to come back again. On this summer visit, we treated my mother and cousin to a nice 3-week vacation, split between the Chateau Lake Louise and the Banff Springs Hotel. Because there were four of us travelling, we booked a Two Bedroom Lakeview Suite. We were pleased to be assigned to 859 on the top floor. Arriving at the hotel, the valet staff promptly greeted us, unloaded our bags, and handed us the keys to our suite. We left the car with the valet and headed to the suite. It wasn't busy at the front desk, but it was nice to be able to skip and head directly to the suite. We were greeted in the suite by a nice bottle of wine and a welcome snack. Accor Diamond member benefits, such as the drink vouchers, were also provided on arrival. The suite was beautifully renovated, and provided good space for the four of us. With two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, large closets, a lovely living room and dining area, the suite had great space. And of course, great views from the six windows across the front of the turret! The only thing it could have used, was some additional dresser space for clothing in the second bedroom. The master bedroom had plenty of drawer space. We ate dinners in the Fairview, Alpine Social, Walliser Stube (always my favourite) and several times at the Lakeview Lounge. We had breakfast in Lago most mornings, but also ordered in-room dining a few times. It's nice to have breakfast included via both options. All meals were excellent. I don't know if we just got lucky, but we seemed to get the best window table for every meal (except Alpine Social, which doesn't really have any views), so that was appreciated. On our first day while having dinner in the Lakeview Lounge, the hotel's Manager of Dining Services came to our table, and said she noticed us having dinner, and offered any assistance with any meals for the remainder of our stay. We already had reservations for remaining nights, but it was very nice of her to reach out. If I had one complaint, it was about the time to get breakfast. There was nearly always a line to get a table, and with no way to reserve. Guests in suites are supposed to have priority dining access, but that clearly doesn't apply to breakfast! It also would be nice if you could have in-room dining earlier than 7:15, which is too late when planning some early morning hikes or trying to get to a Lake O'Hara bus reservation. I don't remember it like this on any of our prior stays, so this is an area that really needs to be addressed. I'm hoping once the delayed renovation of Louiza is completed and they finally open, perhaps they will offer breakfast in two restaurants? They certainly need more breakfast capacity to eliminate the waits. While not the responsibility of the hotel, over the course of the nearly two weeks we stayed here, it certainly helped that the weather was fabulous, with only one day with cloudy skies. We used the Moraine Lake shuttle bus a couple of times during the stay. We hiked about 50 miles and climbed a couple of peaks. It was a great trip! Now we just have to wait until March for our return visit.…
A great visit to the Chateau Lake Louise. It was nice to see the hotel busy again. We really enjoyed the new Louiza restaurant for breakfast. The combination buffet and small plate format was a great way to get the best of both worlds. Very good indeed.
While we very much enjoyed our stay at the Chateau the value, given the very small size of our room, was not fully there. The facility overall is fantastic and all of your staff from the shops to the restaurants to housekeeping were incredibly friendly and helpful. The view of Lake Louise from our room was fabulous. Unfortunately our room reminded us of a typical NYC Hotel room with barely enough room to walk around the bed into the very small bathroom. The room was clean but dated and very small, given the premium we paid to stay at the Chateau that was very disappointing.
We stayed at the Fairmont for one night and it was fantastic. We were located on a Gold Floor, and had very nice interactions with all of the staff (special shoutout to Ben, Joie, Shayla (I'm sorry if that's spelled wrong!)). We used the Fairmont Gold concierge service a few times which was fantastic. Ben was able to help us with where to eat and what activities to enjoy. We tried out several activities, restaurants and amenities. Louiza is delicous and is the best restaurant IMO. Lakeview is a beautiful view, but the food options aren't as interesting or satisfying. Service is incredible throughout the hotel, especially on the gold floor. The only thing that didn't work for us was Fairmont Fit. I asked for a medium or large shirt and medium shorts, and recieved a 2XL shirt, a S shirt, and XL shorts. Needless to say I could not use any of the fitness gear. Overall a fantastic experience and one I would highly recommend.…
We stayed in a Two Bedroom Lakeview Suite directly facing the lake. WOW!! This is definitely on the top of our list for breathtaking scenery right from your room! We just could not stop looking out the large windows into God's creation in its full glory, right in front of us. Awe-inspiring in the fullest sense of the word. The suite itself is newly beautifully renovated with modern and comfortable furniture - loved it. Service is outstanding from start to finish. Tracy and her team from the front desk went out of their way to please us, graciously addressing our special requirements for food and other needs, always attentive, always with a smile, and a keen desire to delight. The nature surrounding the hotel with the large variety of fabulous, well-marked trails, is exceptional, as an understatement. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. We will have to come back!…
Hands down one of my favorite family resorts. So many special touches--friendly and accommodating staff, welcome snacks, keepsakes, kid-friendly dining options, and so many fun activities. We are planning to come back in the summer, and I will definitely come back for a romantic non-kid trip, as well.
We had to opportunity to dine and stay with you for a couple's getaway and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We had a lakeview room and it was worth it! Our room was bigger than expected (had been told to expect a small room), our bathroom was perfect and the food at the lakeview lounge was excellent. I can't wait to go back!
My wife and I were looking for a place to experience a beautiful snowy landscape (we don't get much snow in Texas). We certainly found everything we were looking for at Chateau Lake Louise. We truly loved all the groomed trails to walk or ski, skating on the lake, carriage rides, Bavarian curling, or just looking out the window of the room and enjoying the scenery. On top of everything else, the restaurants, bars, and shops gave plenty of options within the hotel as well. I wish we had a few more days to try out skiing the slopes at Lake Louise, but it gives us something else to look forward to when we return.
We stayed at the hotel for the holiday season, with 14 as a family trip. We had a great time the rooms were beautiful and the view O M G what a stunning view!! We only had one hiccup throughout the stay but it was recovered perfectly. We wanted to do the 4-course tasting menu in Fairview but they were booked, that being said the reservation agent said it wouldn't be a problem we could do the tasting in Louiza. We were so excited to have this unique experience only to be crushed when the Louiza team didn't have that menu for us, only the Louiza buffet. We explained our disappointment to the server and honestly debated what we should do. He (I think is name was jermy? ) went to talk to his manager to see what they could do, the manager (maurico) listened to our concerns and sympathized with us and said he would see what he could do and gave us 1st round of drinks while he worked on a solution. He came back and gave us the best news! He would personally run the food down and use his experience (I think he is a sommelier in training or something) to give us a wonderful tasting experience. We were so happy and couldn't believe how great the experience was, he was funny, informative and the food was spectacular. We are truly grateful that the server and the manager truly cared and really created a HUGE lasting memory for us. THANK YOU you both made our entire trip!! we will be back 1000%…
