We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the lodge using it as a launching pad for local hikes to Valley of 10 Peaks, Sentinel Pass, Plain of 6 Glaciers, Sunshine Meadows, Lake Agnes and Upper Beehive. We made use of the hot tub, lounge and restaurant and helped ourselves to complimentary coffee in the breakfast area each morning. The hotel... More

A quirky old fashioned hotel in a beautiful part of the World. On the whole great service apart from one extremely rude member of staff. The food was disappointing which is important given that there is nothing at Lake Louise apart from a very expensive hotel this hotel and a lake! All in all this hotel has the potential to... More

We had a heritage room booked for 1 night, the booking had been made 9 months ago, we were greeted with the statement " I'm sorry but we have to downgrade you" ( apparently there had been a leak ) downgrade was the size of a the broom cupboard, couldn't even stand at the side of the bed, it smelled... This is a perfect location for summer hiking around Lake Louise. The trails are right there and a visit to the Lake after supper and before breakfast is an easy stroll. With the level of visitors to the Lake it is great to get an early start to hiking.

Interesting heritage style hotel, very similar to lodges we have stayed in at Yellowstone park in USA. Our room was fine for what was just a one night stay. Perfect location for visiting lake Louise and easy free parking too. The dining room is expensive but there are cheaper items on the lunchtime menu (also available in the evening). We... More

After traveling all over western Canada, we were most disappointed with the Deer Lake Lodge. DON'T stay in room 121 as there is an exit nearby and loud guests rolling their luggage up the pavement. The food in the lounge is very good but understaffed. You'll witness frenetic employees just trying to keep up and their manager is quite useless... More

We were advised by our travel agents to spend our last night in Canada at the Deer lodge in Lake Louise. We've stayed in FAR nicer hotels (the sister hotel in Banff-Buffalo Lodge is much much nicer). The hotel is really tired looking and the rooms are below average. Fine as a motel stop over, but don't come here expecting... More

Having stayed at lovely hotels for the last few days with King sized beds we weren't prepared for a double bed that turned out to be uncomfortable or the fact that our room was so small. It started when we were told we had to carry our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs to room 308. The hotel has a... More

We had a one night stay here in July in a tower room. First impressions weren't great but we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. Although on the small size it was all we needed - a comfortable double bed and clean bathroom. We had dinner in the bar which was lovely and the breakfast was very... More

We stayed here for four nights at the end of July. We apparently had one of the best rooms. We had a little balcony with a view of the wooded area. The rooftop hot tub had a great view of the snowy mountains and we sat in there during a thunderstorm - great experience! Lake Louise is literally on the... More
