We stayed 3 nights in a private cabin. The hostel is very clean and well managed. They do have limited wi fi now for 1 hour per night. The outhouses are very clean. Nights are cold but the gas heating keeps the cabin very toasty and warm. This is a great place to stay if you love nature and enjoy... More

We stayed for a night whilst cycling the Icefields Parkway. This is another of the HI Wilderness hostels, so limited facilities. There were clean pit toilets, a well stocked kitchen, a wood burning stove in the living room and a creek for washing in as there's no showers. There's a sauna that we didn't use. Make sure to bring all... More

It's rustic, but that is exactly what we wanted. New and very clean outhouses, firepit and a wood stove heated sauna. Sauna is great, get hot in the sauna and then make a quick run for a splash in the very cold mosquito creek! Open area behind the hostel is great to see the sunset. We stayed in the private... More

Cute hostel with 2, 12 bed dorms and 2 private rooms that sleep 4. The private dorm has a kitchen shared only between the 2 rooms. The main building has a large common area with a wood burning stove and smallish kitchen. There's a sweet wood burning sauna as well. No running water and the only bathrooms are outhouses but... Arrived at the parking lot just off the highway, loaded our supplies onto the sleds, and walked a hundred or so meters to the camp. Very rustic and natural--a cool place to experience natural winter conditions in the mountains. We were two families in the private cabin, each with a bedroom that accommodated up to five people. The common area... More

We did not expect much, since the description in Lonely Planet pretty much covers it. It is a very basic hostel, which is all fine if you're up for it! And it only costs twice as much as if you were to choose a campground with a tent. My girlfriend and stayed for a night, since our tent was soaked.... More

We were originally planning to camp but then had bad weather. This wilderness hostel doesn't have electricity or running water, but has a generator for lights. The common areas are very warm and the cabins (dorms) are too. All linen is provided. Compared to camping it's much easier and not at all expensive!

We only stayed 1 night at the Mosquito Creek Hotel but it was really nice. Even if there is no water & electricity, rooms are very clean and the fire pit is a plus. I'd recommend to anybody looking for an accomodation in the middle of the nature

Me and my husband booked a private room. The room was big enough to accommodate up to 5 people. There is one double bed with a single bunk on top and another set of single bunk beds. The linens/blankets/pillows are provided. The room was clean. The private room is coupled with another private room at the other end of the... More

A big group of us stayed here over new years and it was fantastic! I had expected much more basic conditions but the kitchen, lounge and dorms all had lights (no charging sockets) and the host would turn on the WiFi for brief periods if you ask nicely. The kitchen was really well stocked and there are fridges and a... More
