Stayed here for three nights after a fortnight at one of Banff's top options. Despite the downshift, if you will, it wasn't too bad an option. But it has some issues. The property is a bit long in the tooth and needs upgrading. Considering it's...More
This place wasn’t too bad! We only stayed here for a night and it had all of the basic amenities that you would expect from a hostel. Lights and PowerPoints next to beds, lockers for personal items and luggage. Showers were meh, but the rest...More
The rooms are neat and well organized. (was staying in 4 bunker bed rooms)
The bathrooms are clean.
Staffs are friendly.
A bit farther away from town centre though.
There are activities every nite and it was karaoke when I stayed. It was fun.
Located a bit out of town but quite a nice 20 or so minute walk into the main town. Perhaps the uphill walk back isn't for everyone though, but we enjoyed it and saw some deer along the way. Plenty of free parking spaces although...More

Hi, all three of the snow resorts have transportation leaving from the town. Norquay is 10 minutes away, Sunshine is 20 minutes and Lake Louise is 40 minutes away. All three have their advantages and it's worth visiting all of them! The HI-Banff gives guests a free city bus pass, so you can take the transit right from outside the hostel to the snow bus hub and from there to your ski/board destination - plus it gives you transportation to a lot of the other local attractions for free.
