My friend and I stayed at the Rocky Mountain B&B for 2 nights. We were very impressed with how clean the rooms and bathrooms were. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Always willing to accommodate and provide advice. Such a great experience for a B&B.

This b&b is not too far from the main road in Banff. Close enough to make for a short walk to town but far enough to be pretty quiet. Breakfast was quite good, with a selection of cold and hot food. We stayed in the suite, which is up a couple of flights of stairs. (In general, I think all... More

We love this place!! It has just the right kind of warm, homey feel that you hope for in a b&b. My husband and I stayed here 4 nights on a recent trip to Banff. It is just a couple blocks away from downtown so it's perfect walking distance, but still removed enough so you don't get any of the... More

The folks at Rocky Mtn. B&B made our stay in Banff even more enjoyable. Attentive, friendly, professional -- the place is comfy, clean, and has all we needed for a good night's rest after skiing or wandering the area. The room was just large enough, the bed quite comfortable. We loved the breakfasts and Rob's dinner (the one night we... More

Recently spent two nights at this pleasant B&B. Delicious breakfast freshly cooked each day which was generous in size. I had a great little room in the basement part of the building with ensuite shower (very hot and powerful). This B&B was reccommended to me by a friend and I would extend that to others. Very comfortable and only minutes... More

We stayed first of all in the top floor flat which had a full kitchen & lots of space. The room was great but the fridge & smoke detector need to be moved. The large ring on the stove is too close to the fridge & started to melt the side. The fire alarm went off every time we cooked... More

Was very awesome to stay in this historic house within easy walking of the main street in Banff. Very friendly staff, an outstanding breakfast, excellent WiFi, and very spacious. Will definitely stay there again!

A very clean b&b, conveniently located. The hosts are friendly and professional. Check in and check out are very easy. Shared facilities were always clean and I did not experience any trouble using them (I chose to take shower in the evening). Yes, sound proofing is a bit lacking, but other guests were nice and quiet. Also, after all the... More

LOVE this place!!!! always stay at this b&b when we're visiting for more than two nights. Best breakfast you could get at a cozy, large and family-style environment, and you would definitely appreciate how much it can save you from this. The location is great, walking distance to lots of amenities without spending tons of time looking for parking lots... More

I have travelled all over the world and this is without doubt the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The highlight are the owners, Rob and Robyn, and their manager, Amy. Honestly, I've never seen staff go out of their way to help guests that much, it was extremely impressive. My friend and I stayed for five nights in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are an intimate high-country inn situated three blocks east of Banff Avenue on Otter Street in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building dates from 1907 and has 10 guest rooms and a gorgeous main lounge and dining room. We use excellent ingredients, serve locally roasted organic coffee and vary our menu daily. This historic mountain home is warm and spacious. It was used extensively in the '30s by CPR work crews as a boarding house. For the following forty years it was known as Douglas House and served as tourist accommodation. The Inn was fully restored in the late '80s and has had recent renovations to maintain its original character and substantial mountain charm. We have four suites, which suit small families, as well as simple and elegant double rooms. Our dining room and lounge are open to guest use during the day and there is a television in the lounge. We have private off-street parking to accommodate guests with vehicles. However, once you are in Banff many activities and walks are accessible by foot from the B&B. ... more   less
