The B&B was very nice and the breakfast lovely. Different choices on both days. The room we stayed in had two single beds, extremely comfortable, with our own kitchenette. The bathroom was a little on the small side but very clean. Room was a little noisy as we were in the basement and could hear walking upstairs. This did not... More

We enjoyed our two night stay here recently. Upstairs room was small, but comfortable bed and enough space. Sink in the room, but shared toilet/shower. This was never an issue as 4 rooms share two baths. Had we not had a sink, it might have been more of an issue. Enjoyed the breakfasts and the friendly environment. Good value in... More

Nothing is affordable in Banff, but Rocky Mtn B&B came close and was worth the money. We were in the basement - a bit claustrophobic when you're 6' tall. We had the room with windows opening to the walkway to the front door and we had to make sure the curtains hid the view of our suite! Our cousins had... More

Food was very good . Our room was in the basement. The water pipes were noisy and our bathroom was down a common hallway, not in the room. Bed was comfortable. Location was very good it is about 3 blocks from Banff Road so we were able to walk around town very easy.

We spent three nights at this well located property. On arrival we were helped with our luggage to our room for which I was very grateful as the stairs are quite steep. Our room was very comfortable with all the basics you need. The bathroom was large and very clean with nice towels and the bed linen was very good.... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Rocky Mountain B&B located at 223 Otter St. Banff. Amy (the hostess) was fantastic! She was friendly and helpful. We checked in late and our room key was waiting with a friendly letter to greet us upon our arrival. Our room was very clean and everything we needed was there. Our queen sized... More

Really enjoyed our one night stay. Comfortable bed followed by excellent breakfast. Some of the areas a little dated but that is being fussy. Really comfortable and everyone very helpful. Hot breakfast of bacon, egg, cheese and tomato in a muffin excellent! Would certainly stay again.

Firstly the main two criteria for a B&B: BED: Exceptionally comfortable BREAKFAST: Wonderfully tasty. Different hot breakfast offered daily - all we had were lovely. Also a selection of cereals and toast etc outside hot breakfast hours. Now onto other things... LOCATION: Great. Close to downtown (5-10 minute walk)where there are shops, restaurants and free shuttles leave to gondola rides... More

Situated just a couple of streets away from the centre of Banff, most things are on your doorstep from this B&B. On paper, the £100 per night (inc taxes) we paid for the room was a bit expensive. There was no tv, no tea or coffee maker, and no wardrobe (!) for our 3 night stay. But the room was... More

This B&B is 3 blocks away from the main Banff town center, and it's easy to walk without having to worry about parking. The room we had was on the 2nd floor, and faced the street. In all it was a comfortable room, and we had a good night's rest there. The bathroom is huge, but most of it is... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are an intimate high-country inn situated three blocks east of Banff Avenue on Otter Street in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building dates from 1907 and has 10 guest rooms and a gorgeous main lounge and dining room. We use excellent ingredients, serve locally roasted organic coffee and vary our menu daily. This historic mountain home is warm and spacious. It was used extensively in the '30s by CPR work crews as a boarding house. For the following forty years it was known as Douglas House and served as tourist accommodation. The Inn was fully restored in the late '80s and has had recent renovations to maintain its original character and substantial mountain charm. We have four suites, which suit small families, as well as simple and elegant double rooms. Our dining room and lounge are open to guest use during the day and there is a television in the lounge. We have private off-street parking to accommodate guests with vehicles. However, once you are in Banff many activities and walks are accessible by foot from the B&B. ... more   less
