I am someone who tries to only write positive reviews, but this one crossed the line. After my boyfriend and I booked our trip to Banff over a month ago for next week, I sent an email today to find out if payment would be taken via credit card or cash. I was shocked to receive an email back stating... More

cozy but had everything we needed, especially for those out all day exploring the area. They also allow dogs. There is a host onsite, who gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. Its not in a "secluded location" , but just a few blocks up from the main street (Banff ave) and a bit towards the highway from "downtown" so there... More

My partner and i were travelling around Canada last year, and struggling to find a place to stay in Banff (It was quite last minute). She got the number for Hillside Bungalows and gave them a call, and fortunately for us they had a vacancy for a few nights. To start off we arrived late (talking 10pm+), they were lovely... More

I first visited the bungalows in 2000 at 18 years old with friends and Chrissy and Jiri were as awesome and accommodating then as they are now. Since then, myself and friends have returned over and over to stay and each time was better than the last. They have maintained a consistent affordable rate and are very clean and well... More

This place (cabin 1 in front) was very disappointing. To her credit, the owner is very nice and I prefer giving my business to independents rather big businesses whenever possible. The cabin has a certain rustic charm that could have worked if it were cleaner and a little better cared for. But that is not enough for me to recommend... More

Why, when you want to bring a pet along, do you have to settle for grungy accommodations? Sure, the cabins are cute but patchwork repairs, lack of cleanliness, and a bathroom you cannot swing a cat in just don't cut it. Shabby is ok if it could just be clean! Also, try updating the coffee maker and TV.The dog liked... More

We chose this place off the website and were pleased with our choice. If you are looking for a 5 star place don't go there, but if you want a clean value for money place, this is it. Yes it could do with a coat of paint in places and things inside are a bit old but overall it was... More

We have been looking for a place to take our dogs for over night trips for hiking/snowshoeing in the winter... And we have found our place in Hillside Bungalows. Bungalow #2 is the perfect size for my husband, myself & our 2 big dogs. Our one dog will bark at every little noise, so the quiet area of the bungalows... More

We stayed in Cabin 1, which was extremely small, particularly for two adults and two large/medium sized dogs. The cabin had two double beds, but the lack of an adequately sized table would have made it impossible to seat everyone (there just wasn't room). The kitchen had a sink, a VERY old, small stove and a very small under-the-counter refrigerator.... More

I stumbled upon the website while looking for dog-friendly accommodations I was planning with the wife. Took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The cottage itself is small (we had the second unit deeper into the property) but very cozy. There are two queen beds available to sleep 4, but the lack of an appropriately-sized dining table makes this a... More
