The bed is very clean, the room is very clean and the bathroom is very clean...the staff is very good and friendly, the work of Carlos Veliz stands out for keeping everything clean and in order, very good Hostel.
The room is clean, the washroom is kept very clean. Every bed has its own curtain so everyone has their own privacy. Everyone in our dorm behave very well. There is a mini fridge in our dorm. There are lockers and also one underneath the bottom bunk bed. There is a fan in the room. The room is quite dark so it makes you sleep in comfortably in the morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk gave me a lot of information for what hikes to do around Banff. I never checked out the kitchen so I can’t comment on that. The laundry room is very neat. It opens from 8am-8pm. Though the price is quite high. 2.5 for washer and 2.5 for dryer and 1.5 for detergent. The hostel is a short walk to The central area where all the restaurants and shops are. It’s also a short walk to the Tunnel mountain trailhead. I stayed here for 3 days and definitely stay here again if I come back to Banff. …
Defenately recommended.Good and clean rooms with comfy beds and a nice family friendly environment. Austin powers was very nice and helpful to us. Very happy with our stay. View is nice and the location is perfect considering the price.
After landing I found there was uncovered fish in the kitchen, milk that was 3 months out of date and half eaten meals that have been in there my entire trip and I imagine much longer. The kitchen smells so bad that I called the health inspector who admitted to me she comes in around 3 times A MONTH from calls made by people here. As awll as this, YOU CANT GET COLD WATER ANYWHERE so drinking water is a massive problem, the room was freezing and if you got the bed by the toilet it smelt absolutely awful. Aboutsely would not reccomend go to the Alpine centre instead it is disgusting here
I stayed here late last night on a recent road trip across Canada. I was able to book my accommodations last minute and the staff were very flexible and welcoming. The hostel is very clean, affordable and in a great location, with only a short walk to the main part of town. There is also tons of activities to do at night, like pub crawls, karaoke, comedy nights and so on, If you're a solo social traveller like myself.
we stayed for a week and then saw on the door you can get a discount for staying a week, but they wouldn't give us any money back... apparently you have to book when youre there. so heads up to that! nice vibe, comfy beds with curtains, light sockets and shelf in each bed, big lockers, shoewr and toilet in each room, clean, kind staff and flexible breakfast. we would come again! and a bottle shop right next door - just in case. very close to town.
I was here a few days ago on a last minute overnight in the mountains. I went out on their Sunday night pub-crawl, which was well organized and SUPER fun. The check in process was easy and all the staff were very helpful and friendly!
Just at the start of Banff Avenue, 5 min walk to town with a petrol station right beside it so handy to grab snacks! Off Licence on site too ! Booked a 4 bed female dorm and were given a 6 bed female dorm. It was grand tho. Bed was comfy and had drawers and lockers for each bed. Also had privacy curtains - wish the curtains went all around the bed as there were some very early risers who turned on the lights!! Breakfast was basic - id say go to tims and spend 10 dollars and you'll be more satisfied ! would def stay again if i get back to that part of the world !
Its god value for money I would say. When i arrived there was very friendly staff at the desk and i could put my luggege away because i was there before check-in so i could go out and about in town till the check in time. when i came back I was met by different friendly staff. I was very plead with the service. The room was clean and tidy and it felt safe. Overall you get good service for you money
I stayed at the hostel for a short solo trip. I was in a mixed gender bunk room. I never felt threatened by any of my roommates, the staff was so helpful, and breakfast was good. I don’t eat a lot-they offered fruit and bread, as well as makings for toast, cereal, and oats. The beds were very comfortable, storage underneath & lockers for each guest. Bathrooms were clean and the campus was tidy. WiFi available as well. I would stay here again if I ever return. Great spot for solo female travelers!
