The Storm Mountain Lodge has cabins that are almost 100 years old. The cabins are therefore basic but with a fireplace, good bed, shower and sofa they have everything you need. Including tons of character. The location between Banff and Lake Louise great. Book with half board, because the food is excellent, service perfect en de ambiance Full proof.

Amazing incredible adorable log cabins! Spent 4 amazing days here. The food is absolutely decadent and definitely make reservations. Staff there was fantastic and we can't wait to return. Don't hesitate to go here best decision we ever made!! Remember no radio tv or internet a complete rustic experience!

We stayed in our cabin for 3 nights while in Banff. It is about a 30 minute drive to Banff itself but that is okay. The cabin was cosy and homely. While it did not have a tv or wifi, we did not need this as this adds to the charm. Staff refreshed our wood for the fireplace every day... More

This out of the way Lodge was built by the CPR for tourism and still fills the need today. It is not well signed off Highway 93 but is well worth the stop to relax and watch the tourist hordes cram by on the highway. This original log cabin and its attendant tiny cabins offers up an experience found nowhere... More

We came across the lodge by coincidence. We walked in a bit after lunch time but the staff were friendly and offered us the afternoon menu. I had the bison burger and my friend had a spinach salad. Both were great! Also the decor in the lunch area was very pleasant. If you're in Banff, I suggest you visit the... More

This place is just lovely. My husband and I went for the weekend to just get away from it all and that's exactly what the place offers. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and no internet/TV. We brought board games and snacks and wine and it was fabulous. We went in April but going in the winter would be... More

We spent a couple of nights at the lodge. Our cabin was comfortable, with both radiators and wood log burning fire. Breakfast and dinners were all very good quality, staff friendly. Just off a main highway, you could hear road during day but was quiet overnight. Our only complaints are: (1) cabin floor was completely covered in soot which we... More

Hello! Thank you for the review and the kind comments! We do appreciate it! To address your complaints: 1) The only thing that could possibly have caused the soot on the floor is a downdraft (it is windy up here sometimes) from the chimney in the cabin which must have kicked up some soot from the fire/chimney and deposited it... The historic cabin was awesome. We loved the fireplace and the cozy feeling in the cabin. The lodge and food were amazing we had both breakfast and dinner there and were impressed on both visits. Was nice and close to Lake Louise and Banff as well as many hiking trails along the way. Highway 1A was a very relaxing drive... More

We had a really warm welcome and wonderful service during our stay. The cabin was cosy and we enjoyed all the little touches and being able to light a real fire was a bonus. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a quaint bathroom with all amenities. The dinner and breakfast were hard to fault as the quality and presentation... More
