We spent 3 nights in a Heritage Cabin at Storm Mountain Lodge over the Canada Thanksgiving Weekend. Most impressive was the overall character of the cabins and the attention to detail regarding how each cabin looks and feels. It was rustic and comfortable. The fireplace was well stocked with wood and when lit it really added to the overall warmth. We appreciated the fact that it wasn't in Banff but was just a short drive from their. We noted that people mentioned the road noise as the resort is located on highway 93. To be truthful we didn't find that to be a distraction at all as our cabin was set reasonably back from the road. Another nice feature is the lodge itself with a comfortable lounge area with fireplace and a restaurant where meals were more than ample. We will definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at Storm Mountain Lodge this past weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary and loved our stay. The log cabin for 2 was so cozy and lovely. We had a fantastic dinner in their lodge and were very impressed with both of our dinners. I had the bison short ribs and my huband had the pork chop. We highly recommend both dinners. The service was great both in the restaraunt and on the property. We needed our fireplace swept out and the man came in under 5 minutes! The location is great and the view of storm mountain is impressive. Everyone was so friendly and we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for making our 20th anniversary a memorable one, Storm Mountain Lodge!

We really liked this place. The cabin was very cosy and the fireplace was really the icing on our stay. So was the food. The gourmet plate (cheese and wine) was extremely nice, as well as the breakfast and the dinner. Three things that is good to know in beforehand is though that the this lodge is situated very close to a big road. You hear the traffic, so its not a getaway in the wilderness. You get used to that though. Second, in our cabin the hot water was hardly lukewarm so the showers were quite chilly. And – after we had checked out and looked at the bill were puzzled about 234 dollars we did not understand. So we went back in to the lodge and asked. The receptionist looked at the bill, then in her computer, then she said "that shouldn't be there". She removed it from the bill, but no explaination and – worse – no apologize, Not even a short "sorry". It left us with an uncomfortable feeling! Nevertheless, we would highly recommend this place to our friends.

Hugh and I love to runaway for some peace , quiet and exceptional food service at Storm Mountain. We appreciate that we are able to bring our dog to enjoy the area as well. We like to go at least twice a year. We have also spent a lovely New Years Eve here Delicious dinner and a huge bonfire. A wonderful memory.

This exquisite location is complimented by the historic, rustic cabins and lodge. Enjoy a respite from the bustle of metropiltan life in a log cabin warmed by a stone fireplace. MIles of beautiful trails and mountain peaks within a few minutes of your door. World renowned sites including Lake Louise and skiing only a short drive away. My wife and I enjoyed a romantic stay. Disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with yourself and nature at this unique location.
