Lovely setting. Don't be mislead by the photos. The cabin we were in was extremely small. No heat in the bathroom, and no hot water on the last day. Bed is up against the wall so the person on the inside must climb over the other person to get out of bed. Heat is available from a wood-burning stove or an... More

We stayed here for 1 night during our honeymoon. The cabin was so cozy. We loved the wood burning fire place. It was so nice having the restaurant on site. We had reservation for 7 pm and walked over in less than 3 minutes. The food was incredible. They have a nice selection from the bar as well. We hope... More

We stayed here to get away from the Banff cookie cutter hotels and not pay for the Banff Springs Fairmont. Email communication/reservations were swiftly and appropriately handled by Cael. The lodge is very close to the highway so try for a cabin a little set back from the road. The area is well forested so feels secluded and is. There... More

We had an amazing time staying at Storm Mountain lodge. We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to Banff over this summer and loved every minute of it. Walking into Storm Mountain Lodge immediately makes you feel as if you had entered a cozy, warm cabin with a ton of character. The log cabins are beautiful and extremely... More

My wife and I selected Storm Mountain Lodge & Cabins for a four-night stay during which we would be occupied mostly with recording photographs in the parks (Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho) and could hardly have been more pleased. The staff was kind and helpful, the lodge was a delight (at all hours, but for example sipping Kicking Horse coffee in... More

We stop here often on our drive from Calgary to Invermere and are never tired of its charm. We've had lunch, dinner and some of the new take away foods. On our last visit we had the take away kale Caesar salad and it was delicious!! My kids and I fought over every last bite. The restaurant is small so... More

We loved our stay at Storm Mountain Lodge & Cabin; it was the highlight of our trip. A few favorites were the claw-foot bathtub (bath bombs sold in the gift shop), wood burning fireplace (already set up for our enjoyment), and the amazing restaurant on location. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.... More

We stayed in log cabin #12 for 2 nights. The little cabin is very cozy and well kept. It has a very rustic and original feel to it - including a wood burning fireplace which we enjoyed. It doesn't have all the modern conveniences, but is a lovely change from the very modern hotels. The only downside to our cabin... More

Hello! Thank you for your review! We are very glad you appreciated the cabins and dining (I agree our chefs are amazing)! The highway is a pain no doubt, ironically, the lodge was built before the road was! We do find it does quite down considerably in the evenings but unfortunately it is the one thing we cannot control! Darn... More

We still can't get over the charm and character of this place. What it lacks in traditional amenities (but admits that openly all over the website), it makes up for in attention to detail and uniqueness. If you're looking for a hotel-- look elsewhere. This is not your "standard" lodging. When we arrived at dusk, we were warmly greeted in... More

This lodge looked great when my wife made reservations. Cabins were not as pictured, no porches on"pine" models. No microwave, no refrigerator, no radio, and of course, no TV. They apparently generate their own power,so that's the reason for no electrical conveniences. The price was nearly $275/ night! Ridiculous for that price. Restaurant food was very good, but like the... More

Hello James, I'm sorry you found the Cabins not as advertised. On our website we specifically mention in the first paragraph on the Cabins page ``You will not find WiFi, telephones, televisions, coffee pots and other modern amenities. We are completely self sufficient for water, sewer and power and our generator’s capacity has limits. Our cabins are not equipped with... More
