Storm Mountain is a true gem in the Canadian Rockies. The lodge is rich with history, charm and so comfortable. One could sit by the crackling fire for hours while enjoying the music and ambience of the old lodge. The guest cabins are rustic but comfortable and we really liked the seclusion. A nice spot to put away all technology... More

If you're looking to visit beautiful Banff National Park but aren't keen on the crowds of Banff proper, consider this resort. Located between Banff and Lake Louise, this resort allows you to access the hikes and attractions during the day and escape to a quite and clean (if rustic) cabin at night. The restaurant justifies its high prices by offering... More

Loved this place! The cabins are quaint, clean and cozy. As a family of three there was plenty of room for us in a cabin with 2 queens. We loved lighting a fire nightly because the nights were chilly. So easy, they leave chopped wood in the bins and everything you need.

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights during summer to visits the parks. While the cabins were quaint and rustic and looked very much as advertised, they were serviceable and the in-room fireplace was both a blessing and a curse depending on the direction of the smoke. They made it super easy for a novice to light which... More

Rustic but very comfortable cabins that are very nicely appointed. The restaurant serves an upscale menu and makes great food both tasty and cooked to temperature. Good service and a decent wine list too. Looking forward to returning again soon. Thanks!

This was the most fantastic spot for a couples trip. I think most of the cabins were full but it was still very quiet! Staff were amazing, cabins were so cozy and the food is some of the best we've ever had. The wood burning fireplace at the lodge and in your own private cabin were the perfect touch! There's... A cozy cabin and historic lodge with gourmet dining greeted us on our last night of a month-long road trip to Alaska. The cabin was well-appointed, including a ready-set-go wood-burning fireplace. But the pièce de résistance was the dining experience, both for dinner and breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The food (charcuterie board, pork chops, flight of... More

This review is only for the restaurant we didn't get a chance to stay there, but it is at the top of my list in the future. The lodge is very unassuming and when you walk in you immediately feel at home. The common area in the restaurant and bar just feels like the kind of place you want to... More

Just finished a four day visit...what a treat!!! Well located between Banff and Lake Louise, the cabins are cozy and comfortable and free of distractions (no TV, wi-fi). Lots of trails nearby to enjoy. Food was incredible....a true gastronomical adventure. Service and staff are terrific hosts. Can't say enough good things about this place....certainly plan to return

If faceless motels are not your choice, then try this beautiful lodge, steeped in history & overlooked by the ever changing views of Storm Mountain. We spent a week exploring the area and beyond, using SML as a base. The cabins are tastefully decorated, the bed wonderfully comfortable, with reliable hot bath & showers. The lovely stone fireplace in the... More
