Had booked for four nights. Ended up with only two double beds. I am tall so this did not work for us. Online booking said could be double, queen or king rooms. I would think with a four night stay we would get a better room. When checking in we were told it was full but could check next day... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June, following a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. We fell in love with Banff itself and were delighted when we were given a corner room with a balcony with a view to a mountain. The room was not overly large, but big enough with a queen bed, table and chairs, and... More

First hotel having flown in from London. Pleasant spacious room which would have been improved with AC. Apart from that, all good. Food in restaurant extremely good. Would stay again. Staff helpful especially when we asked for tourist information. Nice touch, tea and coffee available in lobby all day

We agree with other reviews on the lack of air conditioning and found the room stuffy if you do not open your window or balcony, but most hotels in Banff will have the same issue ..but the question has to be asked when you are paying a premium room rate in the summer months / peak season is it acceptable?... I stayed here two nights. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It is true, no air conditioning. However, that is the standard for most hotels in the Banff and Jasper area. There is a fan in the room you can use to keep cool with the window open. The summer nights are much cooler than the days. The staff is... More

Caribou Lodge is pretty, well run, and a great location if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk in town or waiting for the bus. We often seemed to get to the stop when the next bus was 20 minutes out so we usually walked to and/or from town. Which was often good because we needed to walk off the... More

Hotel is nice but room is average. I had to open the small window to get cooler air since there is no air conditioning. This is the same for most of the hotels in the canadian rockies. The hotel is about 5 blocks from the main area where all the restaurants and stores are located. The hotel gives a card... More

The hot pool is FANTASTIC! We could have spent our entire stay in it. Our room was the nicest room I have ever stayed in at a hotel. Awesome! The keg breakfast is very good. My only complaints was our fridge (freezer not useable), and it was a little warm to sleep (no ac in rooms) - but our window... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Caribou Lodge and were very happy with our experience. The place had a very accommodating staff and the room was immaculate. Definitely check out the hot pool downstairs and the Keg restaurant- excellent! It was within 10 minutes to walk to downtown. I would absolutely stay here again!
