I reserved a 2-bedroom cabin for my family of 5. Thought it was a great choice to stay at the canyon, although it is more expensive than comparable space in Lake Louise (and it is not easy to get accommodations for 5 most places). At arrival in mid-August, we received a note explaining there was a large bike race the... More

We had the 1-2 bungalow unit which is part of a cabin. There was a large dog that barked throughout the night in the adjacent unit. There is very little privacy as we could hear the fellow snoring in the room adjacent to us. Bed was a little soft in the center. Suggest getting large separate unit if you wish... More

We stayed for one night and visited the restaurant at Johnston canyon resort. Three of us dined and had 3 courses. My chicken wings and ribs were excellent and so was my wife's tempura prawns and fresh local trout. We would definitely go back and the breakfast was good also.

The location of these lodges is great. It is a shame that the standard of the lodges did not match the beauty of the surroundings. From entering the cabin you could tell it had not been cleaned for some time. There were dead insects all over the inside of the window ledges. Whilst I appreciate this is the great outdoors,it... Please don't stay here. We were so disappointed with the cleanliness of the resort. We entered our cabin and found mouse poop on the stove, the carpet had ashes on it, the floor was disgusting. We went down to the office to ask that our cabin be cleaned and then went to the restaurant for supper. Don't waste your time... More

We stayed in a quaint one bedroom cabin that bordered the entrance to Johnston Canyon. It was so peaceful in our cabin area. We never heard the nearby crowd of people pouring in to walk to the falls. The adjacent restaurant was fabulous. We loved our stay

This place is beautiful, it is surrounded by nature, really lovely. There are many tourist attractions: a barbecue area, a restaurant, a cafe, a shop, a tennis court and a parking for cars and buses. It is a small campsite made of wood lodges. Nearby there is a wonderful creek to some waterfalls and a lot of people come here... More

I have traveled lot and this was my worst experience lodging. The cabin was filthy and was in bad need of updating. We had mice scratching in the walls at night and running in the bedroom. Micr droppings were on the counters every morning. We tried to check out after the first night and were told we would have to... More

I am not sure if there has been a change of ownership since we've been here years ago, but the quality of service has depreciated immensely. Typically the saying goes, there's always a bad apple in a bunch of good apples. However with this place, you might encounter one good apple within the bunch of bad apples. I am not... More

The location is great and near one very busy popular spot in the Johnson Canyon. During peak times people are packing in to see the upper and lower falls, which the start of the trail begins behind the check in office. However, the two person cabins without a fireplace (example #35) is way too small. For the price, its a... More
