First visit to Banff with my husband and glad I booked Mount Royal. Beautiful Hotel with lots of character. Stayed at Mount Royal for 5 nights last week of May. The location is prime (Banff Ave & Caribou) to everything which makes such a difference when traveling. Close to Restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, lots of beautiful trails, etc. Stayed in 2 types of rooms during our stay - regular room for 2 nights and Junior suite for 3 nights. It was nice being able to look outside our room and see the mountains and Banff Ave. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. After experiencing an issue with our room on 3rd night, the staff acted quickly and customer service from the staff to resolve the matter in the present moment and looking into it to make changes for long term was beyond exceptional. I wish I can name everyone that helped out... Thank you to Antonette, Katie, Oliver... you guys are all so professionall. That was really appreciated. There are some flaws to staying at this hotel. Hotel Parking is minimal & can't accommodate all vehicles so have to find parking at a decent time to get a spot e(hotel is aware & working on this); there is no coffee bar in the hotel for guest service like the other hotels in the area have ; they offer coffee and tea in the morning for a few hours instead of all day long. The hot tub area is nice but smaller than expected & can get a Time limit there to accommodate other guests.. wasn't a big deal for my husband and I. Overall, the location and customer service of the staff are big selling points. Theres always room for improvement but the hotel and staff do a fine job to accommodate the diverse guests esp in this busy town. Efforts are appreciated. Would def stay at this hotel if returning to Banff and will highly recommend to others. …

Nice hotel for being in the heart of Banff, can walk to all the shops. Price of room a bit high and despite staying at the hotel they charge $5 for parking. Check in was rushed, no amenities mentioned.

Our fourth floor Heritage room, was a long way from reception, but had a direct exit at ground level to Banff avenue (no entry though). One floor above was the excellent roof top hot tub, which was little used by other guests, for some reason. An adjacent lounge had no clients that we saw either! Our large bed was extremely comfortable, but the room was quite cramped. The main advantage is location, right in the heart of this lovely town, surrounded by great scenery. On our last morning with early departure the hot water failed which was a shame!, but the manager kindly offered some compensation.

Gorgeous hotel and rooms! Brazen was delicious and I received a token for a free beverage which was a nice touch and brought me into the restaurant which didn't disappoint. Food was delicious and had a shareable plate which was wonderful.

The room was not that clean. We didn't receive a cordial welcome from the reception. The bathroom door was not convenient at all and there was a continuous blinking of the wifi which was disturbing.. overall it was not for me.

Right smack in the middle of downtown Banff. ROAM transit stop right in front of hotel. When they found out it was our anniversary they left a beautiful surprise in the room . Coffee in room is delicious! Thank uuuu

We stayed as part of a tour through Rocky Mountains. Banff is a very pretty town with walks, gondola, river and wildlife in town. We had a great stay at the Mount Royal and would recommend to other couples

We loved our stay at the hotel. Staffs were inviting and friendly. Amazing location. Love the cozy feel of the entrance and the library area. We will definitely come back and stay here. Parking was tight.

Our reservation at check-in had to be adjusted due to last minute circumstances out of our control. An impending pilot strike required us to move our flight & we had to check out early. They drastically increased the cost of our rooms!
