Great camp site. Firewood was already at the site and the views by the lake were very nice! Make sure to book in advance as it fills up fast! Bathrooms and washrooms were in good condition. Overall this was a great experience.

We have friends who have been there & came back with great photos (They are better photographers than I am.) So we decided to check it out. The main campground was closed when were up that way in April, but we weren't sure if that's where they took their pictures. We kept going, and there is a Parking area with... More

The campground is adjacent to a beautiful glacial lake and mountains. Our site (#20) next to the lake was "hike in", but required only a short walk from the parking lot. Each site has its own fire ring, but a covered area with wood stoves and picnic tables is also provided nearby. Bathroom facilities include flush toilets, warm water, free... More

Stayed here for a few nights in August 2015 on the first leg of a camping trip around BC. Had a lovely plot on the edge of the lake. Staff were friendly and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Close enough to town to visit restaurants and shops and yet far away enough to enjoy un-spoilt views. Recommended

We camped for a few nights here and generally enjoyed ourselves. The campsite was nice, and of the scenery beautiful (but I'm sure every campsite in this park is too). The loons were calling at night and very serene. The park did little to help campers. Partiers went well past midnight drinking and yelling at their campsite, with no ranger... More

My little darling and I went out for a Monday and Tuesday at the end of May. Although the weather was a bit on the cold side, it was a great experience. Large, warm tent (cabin) firepit and all the firewood we could use. A good sized picnic table, four mattresses , camp chairs and a barbecue. BBQ was mediocre... More

This lake was next to lake minewonka. Nice views. It has boating. Great place to take pictures. Brewster travel had it on our tour. No fee to get in. Many places to see the rockies. The distance from the other lake is short. Th bow river has two dams which creates the 2 lakes

Stayed one night here at the very beginning of June. The campsite was lovely and peaceful even though it was busy. Firewood was great quality, lit easily and burned down slow. The lake was gorgeous and just a short walk from our site. The bathrooms were decent enough, but not stunning. Overall, very nice, would come back.

Very nice campground during the heal season. There are now camping cabins located in some of the previous "best sites". That would be the only negative. If you travel in peak season you will need to reserve at the time the Parks Canada system opens. It fills fast. If you don't mind switching sites every night you can string together... More

Campground has basic amenities but the showers are hot, the scenery is gorgeous and the location to Banff downtown area is perfect. We camped here with a pop up and our family of 5. Definitely would stay here again.
