We were there just before the reno of 2016, great location and fantastic views. These were power only sites and not all have firepits, i believe that the current renovation is to add water and fire pits to all sites. Only minutes from town, would highly recommend.

We went there twice at the very beginning of our trip in spot 202 one night then in spot 504 for 2 nights. Nice spot but like on the side of a road.. Privacy is ok... No fire spot. There is a free bus to go to towm from may to september and 2$ to come back at camp from... More

We love this campground! It's close to home, well monitored so we feel our children are safe from wildlife. The bathrooms and showers are hot, included in the price, and kept so clean! We just love everything here, and go several times a year.

The location is great, it's just at the entrance of Banff. You have a super short commute to town, you're close to the koodos, right by the highway to visit all the lakes around and head to the Johnston Canyon, or just do the tunnel mountain hike if you prefer. The campground has bathroom with electric outlets, showers, all the... More

Not too far from the city with a good shuttle to the city if you need, there good showers are the site usually clean with good hot water, we didn't have water source to the RV so not sure if this is because they do not have or because we did not book on time. There is a good and... More

RV'S are parked parallel like a street with large lawn, fire pit and table. In some ways it forces you to get to know your neighbors. Beautiful views, excellent facilities and wonderful bus service into town

I believe Parks Canada should be embarrassed of this wilderness campground. If you compare Banff's campgrounds to Jasper campground, there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong, there are some good points to this campground, the showers are nice, the bus into town is GREAT! However, the parking at the campsite on pavement and only having a 20' X 10'... Tunnel Mountain II is different. Most, if not all, of the sites are pull thru along each side of many parallel roads thru the woods. Its more what I call "neighborhood" sites. Very easy into and out of the sites All roads are asphalt and the large campground has bus service from the check in station down the hill to... More

Banff is tourist - and the camping options are also expensive and may be hard to come by at the last minute. I had booked two adjoining tent sites on the web weeks in advance. It turns out our smaller group was only going to need one. Although they "don't refund" the ranger at the gate did refund most of... More

I know RV expert but our first port of call in the Rockies was here. The views are breathtaking, it is busy but everyone has space. The facilities are excellent and the bus takes you into town. Free wood for the fire pits if you have a permit and shops walking distance for beer wine and even marmite! we loved... More
