Great campground. Stayed in D which was near amphitheatre and fire wood. Sites for larger trailers were private, quiet and backed into wooded areas where numerous wildlife was seen. Very safe even with bears and such around. Clean campground, hot showers, and great staff. Will defiantly return to this campground!!

We stayed at this campground for 5 nights in our tent - it is central to hiking trails and Banff town :) we also love how the $8 fire permit includes unlimited firewood from the communal pile! Bathrooms were clean, showers were hot & plenty of room between neighbours. The website even shows photos before you book, and tells you... More

We stayed at this campground for three night. Our campsite F40 was fairly large and tidy, the bathrooms were also very clean.there was a nice hiking trail just outside of the campground and also lots of beautiful lakes for our kayaks. Although Banff seemed busier than usual we had a fantastic time

They have tons of firewood for your use. Everything is close too. Great amenities , clean bathrooms and showers!! Sites are pretty close together, but everyone is respectful of the rules. Kids and dogs around; safe place. Outdoor theatre too!

I will give it 5 star for its proximity from Calgary. Huge campground, mostly packed with families. They have quite hours from 11 pm, however , park rangers are nice and didn't say anything. Banff town is 5 min drive. My only concern was not enough trees between campsites. You are literally 20 meters away from neighbours.

I got lucky with site A-47 (booked on the morning we arrived mid-July). It seemed like all of the sites in the 40s in that loop had a nice view. We walked across the frontage road to the HooDoo lookout for a stunning view of the valley below. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious the sites were... More

Hot shower, drinking water, firewood, and good size camp site. What more do you need from a campground. Definitely a great option to paying the high cost for a room in this tourist town. This site is close to town. Grocery shopping and sight seeing fit easily into your camping trip. There are also trails around the campground for the... More

Tunnel Mountain was a nice place to stay. We were in a motorhome and the campground offers no services. Unfortunately the motorhome is entirely electric which means it is imperative to run a generator and the campground rules only allow for 1.5 hours in the morning and 1 hour at night which is not enough power to keep the starting... Most of the sites are well treed with options for hanging tarps to keep off the sun or rain depending on the day. Reasonable distance between the sites feels more private than some other campgrounds around. Heated washrooms in every loop mean you can car camp with extra comfort if you're enjoying the mountains in a tent..

We had no negative opinions regarding this place. Positive points: Great privacy, clean area. Clean services. There are a lot of free wood logs to pick up for your camp fire. The weather was nice during our stay but it can be rainy. So be wary of unexpected. There are wolves and bears around in the summer, so be cautious... More
