Although I did not get the chance to stay at Rampart Creek Hostel, I have to praise Ken, the hostel manager, for helping out a traveler in a jam. I had some serious car trouble near the hostel, in the middle of nowhere, and absolutely no cell service to call for help. I knocked on Ken's door, and he not...

Needless to say that the place is one of the most scenic in the world. No running water but there is wifi in this very remote place ! The place is well kept, the kitchen very well equiped and Ken provided us with a lot of very useful tips. The atmosphere is warm and there are 4 dorms of 6...

We stayed for one night whilst cycling the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Lake Louise. We didn't expect many facilities, but what there was surpassed our expectations. The pit toilets were extremely clean, the dorm was comfortable, there was WiFi(!), a well equipped kitchen with gas cookers and a shelter for our bicycles. There's no showers, but we washed off...

Loved our nights stay here. Eating smores by the campfire. Be prepared for bare basics. No electricity at night and a walk to the toilet. Well worth it to see the stars. Would stay again. Came with Moose tours.

The main lodge is a bit worn around the edges but it's clean, comfortable and functional. Just bring your food and you'll have everything you need to make a great feast. Mattresses are very comfortable... I pretty much always get a good sleep at HI hostels, and that has a lot to do with the (I've been told) Tempur Pedic...

We were looking for an escape from the busy holidays. We got all we were looking for and more! It is a wilderness facility for sure but with all the amenities and comforts that you could use for a multiple day get away. The out door wood sauna is the best thing to have on a trip like this.

We chanced upon the hostel as we drove from Jasper to Banff. Ken, the manager, was very friendly and hospitable. He gave us a lot of suggestion on the non touristy place/hikes to go. It's a small cosy place with campfire pit just right outside your room. A well equipped kitchen but there's no shower room around. We did see...

We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised at every aspect of our visit. From Allan the friendly 'manager' to the excellently equipped kitchen and dining facilities, the clean 'everything', and the wonderful and interesting people we met. We were traveling with a well-behaved dog who was generally on a leash, not permitted in the buildings, and who got lots...

This lovely place is surrounded by trees and mountains and many activities nearby. Ken was extremely helpful in pointing out the less touristy spots which promises breathtaking views. He definitely made out stay comfortable and provided a good atmosphere. 10/10 would come back again.
