An exceptional find for an overnight stay whilst cycling the Red Squirrel Trail. David & Emma were so friendly & welcoming & our room was amazing, not what you expect from dog-friendly accomodation. Our bikes were even taken care of & safely locked away for...More
On the old railway line by the Yar here is a cafe called the Pedallers.
Sitting out we watched Goldcrests in the trees and enjoyed tea and cake..The walk from Newport to Sundown on this old track is very attractive . Take the bus back
We stayed here for a night in August. It was absolutely beautiful - the room was lovely and the facilities are on par with a hotel rather than B&B.
The guest house is in a fantastic location in the countryside, 200 yards from a wonderful...More
The room we were allocated was very quiet, immaculately clean with lovely bedding and the ensuite was also spotless. The room included tea/coffee making facilities. All of the outside spaces were very well maintained and in addition, there was a small cafe at the bottom...More

Hi there, I cannot confirm one way or the other but what I will say is that the owners are passionate dog lovers and own pointers so my guess is yes. If my memory serves me well I think I remember seeing a dog in the teashop... More

Hi. I've stayed at the marvellous Rosemary Cottage a few times. Last time I was there (March this year) there was no kitchen for guests to use, but they do provide a fridge for you to keep a few cold goods in. Their Peddlars Cafe (at end of their garden) is marvellous and provides excellent breakfasts and lunches as does The Pointer Inn up the road (very steep hill up to it, just so you're aware if you have mobility problems). The cafe is dog friendly, again, just in case you do not like dogs.
Nearby is the Garlic Farm, which is well worth a visit. If you cycle, the cottage it's on a great flat off road cycle route that either takes you to Sandown for the beach or Newport or Cowes for shopping.
In the summer, the fabulous Downs Breezer open-topped bus stops right outside the cottage taking you around lots of tourist attractions on the island, I believe including the steam railway, Quarr Abbey, Arreton Barns and many others. See Southern Vectis for details
Hope some of this helps! We really enjoy staying at Rosemary Cottage. The rooms are spacious and contemporary and always spotless. Dave and Emma run a great business at a fantastic price.
