Finca Villa Nora is a heritage country house with more than 120 years of history and tradition in coffee culture. The house was built in the earlier 20th century and in the last two decades has been refurbished to provide the best accommodation for tourists in the coffee growing axis (Eje Cafetero - Quindio). The two-story house is a great example of the Antioquian Colonization Coffee Architecture with spacious corridors, terraces and a wide wraparound verandah. It provides wonderful views of our preserved Bamboo Forest (Guadua) and the majestic Andes Mountains which give visitors a unique sunrise and sunset experiences. Finca Villa Nora (finca is another word for hacienda) is located in Quimbaya in a perfect spot that's equidistant from the two main Park attractions in the region: The National Coffee Park (Parque Nacional del Cafe) and PANACA (Parque Nacional de la Cultura Agropecuaria) both only 20 minutes drive from the Finca, to where we can arrange transportation. The house is surrounded with more than 600 square meters of gardens with tropical uniquely different species of flowers and plants including 30 different species of heliconias and orchids, exotic trees and stunning butterflies and birds. We also provide a free tour of our coffee plantation or if you just want to relax you can enjoy all of this by the pool. We like to treat our guests with the highest quality of food that includes locally grown products and fruits like avocado, oranges, clementines grown in our garden and on arrival you can also try our famous coffee cocktail. During the last 20 years, Finca Villa Nora has been honoured to receive special guests including Juan Valdez the Colombian coffee icon; and high UNESCO diplomats who made the decision to grant the region a world heritage title - The Coffee Cultural Landscape (Paisaje Cultural Cafetero) for which we feel both, honoured and inspired. If you want to explore the Coffee Growing axis or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, there is no better place than Finca Villa Nora.

We visited for a family reunion and had a fantastic time. The staff was excellent and the food was great. We stayed in an upstairs room with a beautiful view of the pool and grounds. The best experience we've had in Colombia. Thank you Nora and Roberto and staff for a fun and memorable visit. Make sure you ask Nora to arrange some activities such as horse back riding and trips to local villages. Barry and Patricia Weiss

Nora and Roberto welcomed us in their home with open arms and were able to accommodate all of our requests - including booking an internal flight for us, finding us extra adapters and transformers to charge our electronics, personally driving us to town to run errands and organizing seamlessly our three days spent in Eje Cafetero through trusted transport companies to take us out to explore all that Quindio has to offer. The property is breathtaking and the hospitality truly special - delicious breakfast and three course dinner is prepared and served on sight by Nora and her wonderful helpers. We also highly recommend the tour of the Finca which includes a tour of the coffee plantations but also the private garden of the finca and an explanation of every tree and fruit that the garden holds - and it is a lot! We were lucky enough to be the only guests staying at the time and got full use of the pool, reading room and enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet that the property - all your hear most of the day is the array of birds inhabiting the garden, which is the perfect place to come back to in the evenings after exploring the region. Truly a wonderfully charming place not to miss during your visit to Eje Cafetero!

Our group stayed 5 days at Finca Villa Nora. It was a remarkable experience. The farm is beautiful! Great views of the fields and countryside and birds and wildlife everywhere. We had a tour of the coffee fields and learned how they grow, harvest and prepare their wonderful coffee for sale. Our hosts Nora and Roberto, arranged tours to nearby towns, shared stories of the history of the farm and helped make our stay memorable. Javier and the rest of the staff provided excellent food and service and saw to our every need. And the coffee - oh my, it was good! We were sad to leave and plan to return next year.

The finca has been in the family for 130 years or so and it has been tastefully restored with antique furniture giving a real sense of history. The rooms are comfortable with good showers and the linen sparkling fresh. Again all traditionally furnished. Some of the beds are on the small aside for a double but we were offered a two room suite as compensation. Dona Nora and Don Roberto are gracious hosts, with a farm tour by the Don a must for visitors, though knowledge of Spanish is helpful. While we were there, there was a buff-necked ibis nest just above the lovely pool with two large chicks. Sitting in the cool terrace and birdwatching is my idea of heaven. The food is excellent too, freshly prepared from fresh Ingredients by Adriana and Joanna. I could have spent longer just sitting and enjoying nature in this glorious spot. A great base for coffee and Cocora expeditions.

Situated a 10-minute walk with Quimbaya, this finca is a little slice of paradise. The house itself is lovely and well-maintained, but it is really the hospitality that stands out. Nora will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and arrange all your transportation/day trips etc. This is still rural living so there are bugs/geckos about etc but it is a very comfortable rural living with hot showers and clean rooms etc. Nora and the workers themselves are mostly Spanish-speaking so be prepared to speak Spanish most of the time.

I have travelled in Colombia since 1984 and thought I had seen or heard about every wonderful place to visit. I was wrong. Finca Villa Nora In Quimbaya Colombia is not only visually wonderful but Roberto and Nora bring to their home all the amazing things one can expect from such a beautiful and biodiverse country. The finca is on 30 hectares and is filled with fruit trees, coffee and mountain vistas that make you happy you are alive. Their hospitality makes you appreciate the graciousness and manner in which Nora and Roberto embrace their guests as family. They represent on every level the wonders of this beautiful country. If you have a chance to visit you will wonder why you didn’t do it before. You will love it. Ron and Clara Goff

My wife and I stayed at the beautiful Villa Nora in late May and were enchanted with the beauty of the property and made to feel at home by the lovely couple that live in the charming Finca/Hacienda, Doña Nora and Don Roberto. We drove from Cali to the coffee region and it was easy enough to get there. We were given a great tour by Don Roberto showing us the complete inner workings of a coffee farm. The property is peppered with amazing tropical fruits as well which Don Roberto will be happy to let you get your fill of. I highly recommend this Finca for a couples’ getaway, we can’t wait to get back.

This little hotel is very charming and is ideally located in the heart of the "Eje Cafetero" region. The owners, Nohora and Roberto, are very kind and always present to ensure that their guests are taken care of. They can book transportation for you to/from the airport, as well as day tours. If you want to take a day and hang around the hotel to relax, they will serve you lunch (at a reasonable additional cost) and there is a nice pool and hammock. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price of the room. The food was excellent; simple and very fresh. I never felt tempted to walk into the town of Quimbaya (about 30 minutes' walk) to try a restaurant there. If you understand Spanish, book a tour of the property with Roberto and learn all about coffee, local fruits, and flora of the property. I can say that Roberto's coffee (served daily at breakfast) was the best coffee we had in Colombia. It was even better than the coffee at the "boutique" plantations. Roberto sold me a bag to take home. It doesn't get any better than that! Highly recommended!

I loved my two nights at Finca Villa Nora! It was easy to get there--I took a bus to Quimbaya and then a short taxi ride to the finca. It turns out I had gotten the dates wrong on my reservation and I wasn't expected until the next day, but lucky for me it was no problem--their staff quickly made up the room and accommodated me. The home is beautiful and nicely furnished with period pieces. My bed was sure comfortable and the room was very attractive. The husband and wife who own the finca are very involved in the operation, and there is also a friendly and professional staff. The upstairs has the public areas, living and dining rooms and kitchen. Beautiful views over the valley, farm and garden. I strolled around the property and enjoyed the pool, and got to know the other guests, visitors from Argentina and Canada. Then I was served a delicious dinner, included in the price. The next morning after a good breakfast I went on a comprehensive and interesting tour of the property led by the husband, a very genuine and friendly guy who knows everything there is to know about the huge variety of tropical plants on the property as well as the coffee plantation. He also showed us some of the coffee production process. Then we all left for a day trip to Filandia, with a taxi van arranged by the finca. It was a beautiful drive through the countryside to a charming town with a very good restaurant for a late lunch. Then back to the finca for more pool time, enjoying the colorful birds that are all around the property, playing with the finca's happy dog, and then another tasty dinner. I was sorry to have to leave the next day. I certainly recommend Finca Villa Nora for a charming experience. A guest can do as much or as little as you want--for me it was a perfect combination of relaxation in and around the beautiful house and pool, good food, enjoying the flora and fauna, and doing some local sightseeing too.
