We had dinner Saturday evening and waited an hour before we received our food. The food was good but the galette was very poor value. We also found it difficult to have a conversation as it was so crowded and very noisy. It is a shame as we have had some excellent lunches there. We are cancelling our booking for... More

Visited Repton in September and stayed in the Boot. Our party had two rooms which both have bright modern bathrooms with comfortable beds and the essential free wifi for the kids. Breakfast is not to be missed and the steaks in the evening were superb. The staff are brilliant (especially Meg) - very welcoming and friendly, couldn't be more helpful,... More

Not an extensive menu but everything was cooked to perfection and presented well. The pub is tastefully decorated and the staff are efficient and friendly. You can eat in the garden, although there isn't table service outdoors.

Having worked at the Boot until recently I was aware of what to expect when visiting however the comments in this review are those of my family and not my own (no bias here.) First of all the staff were all friendly and accommodating, we were welcomed in and seated quickly by Rick at our booked table despite it being... More

Lovely, cosy and friendly pub with a good selection of around 4-5 real ales. The decor is welcoming and the staff were extremely courteous. The menu had some interesting choices and we felt a little unadventurous by picking the burgers when so much fayre was on offer but we didn't mind. Parking is a little tight, we had to park... More

Visited today with 3 generations of my family and we all had a fantastic time. Though the menu seems quite small it was difficult to choose from such wonderful sounding choices. I personally had smoked trout pate to start, a chicken bacon & Brie burger followed by an apple tart tartin. I really couldn't fault any of it. All 5... More

Visited twice this week after having never set foot in the place. Brilliant pub, lovely surroundings, extremely friendly (without being sickly) staff ALL OF THEM. Proper pub feel. Immaculately well presented establishment. I will certainly visit again soon. The staff and the beers are outstanding. Hopefully in the near future we will sample the fabulous menu and the overnight accomodation.... More

We had a comfortable room for our stay. There were a couple of issues: Room 1 has a bed that slopes from bottom to top and from one side to the other, possibly because the bottom corner sits on an old fireplace. The other problem was being woken up by the cleaner vacuuming the bar floor at 6.45am. Stools and... More

It is a rare occasion that my hubby and I have the opportunity for a child free lunch so when we do we like to choose a place that is relaxing, serves amazing food and wine! The Boot was our choice this time and wow!! The atmosphere was lovely, we sat outside in a small but lovely space, the weather... More
