Burton Bradstock is a beautiful village and Norburton Hall is a great base for exploring the area. It's an easy 5 minute walk into the centre of the village which has a couple of really good restaurants. Another 10 minutes or so and you are on Hive Beach, which has the wonderful Hive Beach Cafe where we went for breakfast... More

We have just come back from a lovely 4-night stay at The Shippen. The cottage was perfect for the four of us (plus dog!) and an ideal place from which to walk to the beach and local pubs, as well as being just a short drive from West Bay, Bridport, Seatown and a host of other level places. Unfortunately the... More

We are frequent visitors to Norburton Hall and usually stay in the Shippen which is a lovely two bedroom cottage with roses and a fig tree in the patio area. Its a great base for the beach and Powerstock Common where we saw frog orchids this time. A real home from home.

Thank you for the great review. Lovely to hear that you're very much at home here at Norburton Hall. The figs in the patio area are just starting to ripen up now - they like that sunny spot. Really pleased that you saw some Frog Orchids during your last stay. I've been lucky enough to see Bee Orchids nearby, too,... More

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic, relaxing honeymoon in the Dairy Cottage at Norburton Hall. The cottage was wonderfully peaceful and comfortable and just what we needed to unwind after our wedding. Karen, the owner, made us very welcome on our arrival and throughout our stay and was keen to ensure our time at Norburton was... More

Norburton Hall was recommended to us by a previous couple that return on a yearly basis to this tranquil location. As keen walkers we found this location to be a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic coast and 'The Stables' to be a real 'home from home' experience especially when all we wanted to do every evening was relax and... We stayed in the ground floor stables. Well furnished and lit IKEA style. Cushions and pillows all feather and need replacing, we got ours swopped. Towels tiny and not changed during weeks stay. We asked for larger ones. No views of gardens, just 2 old cast iron chairs on the tiny weedy crazy paved patio which get sun for about... More

We were 6 couples in a mix of our own or shared cottages. Our ways the Hayloft, perfect for 2 and we were allowed to bring our dog, perfect. The grounds are charming and an easy walk to the local pubs and to the beach.
