My wife booked our trip to Chesil Beach and I was skeptical about our destination. As a tourist from New York I didn't know what to expect on the coast in the Dorset region. Well I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it was not only a beautiful part of the country, but the beaches are actually incredible, the... More

2 nights in the Cogden B&B room, didn't want to leave! Perfect place to stay to relax and enjoy the area. The room had everything needed to make the stay the best including plenty of tea and fresh milk. Lovely people, perfect location. Will definitely be back.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. Top quality items in the tasteful Golden Cap room. Room had a nautical theme which reflected the view. Double aspect windows gave an extra dimension, having views of landscape as well as seascape. Getting down to basics - bathroom with good shower, comfy bed, duvets and pillows. Everywhere sparklingly clean. Will... More

Spent just one night in Golden Cap room, b&b,as a special treat to myself. Also had a short self catering break here last year. Chesil Beach Lodge is a lovely, well run establishment, friendly but also happy for you to come and go as you please. Wonderful views. Golden cap was a delightfull room, comfortable, very clean with small personal... More

Stayed here on a trip round Dorset and Somerset last week. Cyril and Linda are very welcoming and the room was charming with a large window overlooking the sea. The B&B gives you vouchers for a hot breakfast at a local cafe and I had an excellent breakfast at the Eggcup Tearooms. I'll be back!

Spent four nights here recently in a self catering apartment with our Labrador Rosie. We stayed in "Fossil", which is ideal for dogs having a large secure decked area and is right next to the garden gate which leads directly out on to the downs. The apartment is clean, attractively furnished and has beautiful far reaching views to the sea and... More

This bed and breakfast is in a great location on the coast road between Bridport and Weymouth. There are wonderful views from the rooms. There were just a couple of things that we felt let it down. The room was rather stuffy, as you cannot open doors to the Juliet balcony when raining. (There are no other window) The bedding... More

Unfortunately we only managed to get one night at Chesil Lodge. A very warm welcome from Cyril and the most beautifully appointed room. The views are stunning, loads of safe parking and the whole house was spotless. Gardens to sit in, honesty bar, good location, the list is endless. We had Hive room which is huge, the biggest bed ever,... More

We managed to have 3 nights at the location in their Cogden room, I honestly can't find anything to pick fault if I had to. On arrival the lady was pleasant and we were greeted with a smile and explanation of where things were and how to arrange breakfast. Our room was immaculate and even though this is a dog... More

We took the B&B option (self-catering also available) in a well-equipped good-sized room with a 'Juliet' balcony looking out to sea. The en-suite bathroom had a very efficient shower (though a shelf for toiletries would be useful). Furnishings were attractive, plenty of room for clothes, comfy beds, spotless linen and fluffy towels, and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was good, brought to... More
