The ski resort being closed I thought I would find the restaurant closed, but fortunately it was open and we ate very well there (cheese fritters, figatellu, chestnut flour polenta, brucciu) everything was perfect. This is the first time I ate in this restaurant, I will return there and I highly recommend it. The staff is top notch.

For lunch while traveling along the GR20 North. Fast and friendly service, very good food. Inside there is a section dedicated to hikers, which is really well equipped. All good if it weren't for the exaggeratedly high prices

Restaurant, at the top of a climb, overlooking a ski resort. The waiters were very friendly. The meal was too good, we ate very well. Everything was excellent. The burgers, the daily menu that was angina, the offal I ate. everything was excellent. Desserts were a poem for us (lemon meringue pie, chestnut mellow and apple pie.

Arriving at Asco station, this single restaurant dominates with its imposing facade which would need to be redeveloped to blend into this exceptional environment. Warm welcome yet at the end of the season with two friendly waiters, Julien and his colleague. Map logically restricted since the closure is planned for this week. It’s good, simple and well prepared. It is worth noting the wonder of the climb to the station with this small road between the rocky cliffs and the river with its bathtubs. This makes us want to sit on this very large terrace and continue this moment over a good drink and a meal.

The lentil soup was tasteless. Lasagna almost no flavor. Lettuce wasn't ruined but there was nothing in it besides beans and corn. Control knocked over glass and walked on. It was a menu you had to sign up for. How can you cook so tacky? We thought we'd have a nice meal with the GR20.

This was a welcome break for my aging limbs while hiking GR20 rather than a dorm or tent. Pleasant room, powerful shower, good evening meal. And an excellent breakfats with scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, muesli, preserves, fruit etc. Unlike hotel vergio in the next valley which offered a croissant and half baguette.

On the way to the Gr20, seeing the hotel, we decided to stop there to sleep in a good bed and enjoy a hot shower. Very welcoming and friendly and nice food and refuelling options. We loved it so much that we stayed there for two nights.

Hotel Le Chalet is a real paradise (especially if you are a GR20 trekker and have just descended from a pass). Rooms are very clean, with all necessities for a good rest and sleep. Extremely yummy food, and nice staff. If you are doing the GR20 trek and have some time - spend here 2 overnights, you will not regret. Btw here you can buy some trekking equipment (poles, T-shirts and even boots) if you need.

Yes, it's not a pretty building, but the rooms (we were staying in the Gite d'Etape section) were clean and well appointed, the showers were very welcome and the food was first-rate given the price range. The facilities, though not luxurious, were clean, worked well and adequate in number. As worldcitizenParis says, a superb change after the refuges! There's nothing to do in Haut Asco, so on my day off I went to Ponte Leccia in the shuttle, whilst my walking companion nipped up Monte Cinto (Corsica's highest mountain).
If I were on a driving holiday in Corsica, I'd be glad to drive to the top of this long oneway road to spend another night here.
