HA GIANG RIVERSIDE HOSTEL - Prices & Reviews (Vietnam)

The Ha Giang Riverside Hostel is an excellent place to begin and end a Loop tour. My friend and I did the tour, arranged through Lily's Travel in Hanoi ( see seperate review) with all local Ha Giang service provided by Riverside Hostel. This included a pick up service from the bus station, after arriving by sleeper bus. Binh from Riverside Hostel collected us at 3:00a.m from the bus station, amazing service! We were then able to sleep until morning, shower and have a delicious breakfast before heading off to do the Loop with our two Easy Riders, also arranged by Riverside Hostel. At the completion of the tour we were dropped back at Riverside to await the bus back to Hanoi. Binh was friendly and helpful even at 3:00am, and in the morning Logan and Paul chatted with us over breakfast and informed us of all arrangements. After the Loop ride we were welcomed back as friends. The Hostel is basic, but clean and comfortable with a lovely back deck overlooking the river where you eat breakfast. But it's the service that makes this place a stand-out! Highly recommended as your starting and ending place for the Loop, they will look after you and help make your amazing trip even more so!. …

Perfect Start for the Loop

Everything was perfect! I arrived there in the evening and Paul from the hostel explained pretty much everything about how to do the loop. Since I travelled alone I was happy to find a little group to do the loop in 3 days as well. The next morning we got our bikes, an insurance if you like, an exact explanation where to drive and where are the best spots as well as a little map of the loop. You can leave luggage there, if you don‘t need it and they even do your laundry so you can pick it up when you return. Thank a lot for organizing everything to Logan and Paul. One of the girls in our group got a guide organised by the hostel. So we followed Phong around the loop the next days. Thanks for everything Phong, we really got a nice tour with some hidden spots! When we returned on the afternoon of the third day the guys from the hostel booked a bus for a us that picked us up at 4pm. Thanks for everything!…

The place

Best place for start and end in ha gian. Is very clean, very good service,vwry kind atmosphere, they can help you with your trip around the mountains. Thanks to the lovely staffand thanks to Mr. Bean the boss of the place who invited us for a family dinner on the last day. Thanks to Logan and Paul, they will definitely look after you anytime !! The local girl prepare very delicious food also. The hostel has a river and is very beautiful, i recommend this place to everybody and i will repeat with them as soon as possible, so dont hesitate and book with them

Loved the stay

The hostel we stayed at was very nice. The people who worked there really made it special for me, especially Logan and Paul! The minute we came in, they greeted us super friendly and made us feel like home. Thanks guys! I recommend everyone to go there. Also, the bikes were in a good condition. #fckpaul

Top service, really friendly place and really helpful staff!!

We had booked a 3days 2 nights tour in Hanoi with easy riders to do the loop from Ha Giang. We could stay and get some sleep at the hostel when we arrived with the sleeping bus at 3am. In the morning we were supposed to start the loop around 9am but the staff advised us to wait one more day and stay at the hostel because of the bad weather... best advice!! We got much better weather the following days! All this without adding any fee to the already paid tour! They also gave us great advice on the places to visit during the loop. Nice place to stay with a deck with a view on the river. Very friendly, they even invited us for family dinner! They let you use the shower when you come back from the loop before taking back the sleeping bus! Thank you again!

Amazing!!!!

An absolutely wonderful place. The staff is beyond helpful with getting you prepared for the loop, and will make you feel right at home. They have a lovely deck overlooking the river, and great food! Do yourself a favor and stay here.

Not the best for solo travelers

Not a good place to sleep - noise from the big street next to it is really loud. For me the hostel was lacking a social atmosphere and there are no groups leaving together for the loop, so if you are a solo traveller it might not be the best option. Service was ok but quite unorganized sometimes. The sleeper bus to Hanoi they booked me after the loop didn't go to the place they said (gas station near old town) but somewhere far away outside the town and I had to take taxi to old quarter which cost more than the actual bus :( The good thing is that motorbike rental was easy and cheap (150k/day inc. insurance) and they let guests use the showers after the loop. Terrace with the river view is nice.

Riverside Staff Forever

We booked a Ha Giang Loop tour through the Ha Giang Riverside hostel and it was incredible. The trip lasted 3 days, the first day we drove our motorbikes for 150 kilometers from Ha Giang to Dong Van, passed by the heaven gate to Lung Cu. The second day we went to the river Nho Que, did a boat trip there, came across the Ma Pi Leng pass that was super amazing then back to Ha Giang city on the thirday. 450 kilometers is the way we were on, we loved every moment, every where in the trip that they recommended. It could be the best trip so far to us. We'd like to say thank you to the Riverside staff whom were very helpful anf friendly. The special thank to the hostel owner Mr Binh. We'll come back 🙆‍♂🙆‍♂🙆‍♂

The Top Amazing Services

We went to Ha Giang around 15 days ago with a night bus from Catba. The bus itself was ok but it arrived here too early at 3Am. We had to leave te bus and didn't know what to do. Luckily we met a local man there he was very kind to us, he invited us staying in his hostel without money. We was just wondering a moment then followed him to his hostel. We stayed there in a dormitiry room that was nice and very clean. When we have got up and looked for things to do in this area we saw that man again. His name is Binh and is the owner of this hostel, he provided us all information of this area and make a plan for us to travel Ha Giang. We rent 4 motobikes from him to do the Ha Giang loop and it was mazing, the motorbikes were very strong also haha. We did everything that he showed us and try a lot of local foods here. It would be so far our best trip ever. Thanks a lot to Mr Binh for your help, for everything you did for us. We shall come back, sure.. and stay in your house again. Would like to recommend this man and his services to everyone coming here.…

nice place for services

me and my friends got here after like 8hrs long night bus and stayed here for a couple of hours next morning. we rented 2 motorbikes with insurance and well everything was okay. the staffs are helpful and they seemed really relieved when seeing us got back from the Loop. the breakfast was nice and the beds were clean enough. will recommend my friends this place. cheers!
