Where do I possibly begin? We were at the end of a 2 week trip around Baja and landed at Hotel Los Pescadores for the final bit. Thank goodness, because it would've been terrible to have stayed there first and spent the rest of our trip missing it (as that is exactly what would have happened!)
This was probably the least "fancy" of our stays on this trip as I had been splurging for our 20th anniversary, however, it was easily both my husband and my favorite stop. The heart and soul was all there front and center as everyone has mentioned, thanks to the wonderful energy of Patti, the proprietress/owner. She put up with me changing my reservation details numerous times with grace and ease, then proceeded to take incredible care of us during our 4 night stay. Literally everything we could think of, she had resources and the ability to make it happen. In addition, she’s just a kick to be around, clearly is brilliant at what she does and makes it all look like a blast. I wanted to move in!
The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and had wonderful pillows (!) plus coffee makers and refrigerators. Each room has their own patio or balcony, and the central area where the pool and cantina are was just lovely with flowering plants and a fun gathering place for locals in the area (special shout out to Dan and Jesus - you guys made our afternoons at the bar so enjoyable).
There was plenty of room and never felt crowded with too many folks. In addition, Patti and her crew were doing regular temp checks on incoming people and had mask/sanitation issues down. We will without a doubt be back, with as many of our pals in tow as we can wrangle, and we are counting the minutes until then. See you soon Patti, thanks for everything.
Highly recommend you don't miss this gem.

This little hotel in the town of Los Barriles is a gem & a true home from home. It’s not on the beach, has a small swimming pool & lacks the fancy amenities of larger, flashier hotels, but it makes up for it in so many ways. Patti & her staff go out of their way daily to make your stay here a happy & comfortable one. You leave thinking you’ve made friends.
The spacious rooms are set around the pool & patio area in a beautiful, well kept garden setting. The beds are comfy, the shower is spacious & there are tea & coffee making facilities in all the rooms, some have a small kitchenette also. If you don’t want to bother making your morning drink, there is coffee & a simple continental breakfast available in the bar, just a few paces away. The rooms are serviced daily & are super clean.
The bar is run by Fidel & Danny who are friendly & always have a smile & the time to chat & make you feel welcome. Locals also use the bar area sometimes making it busy, but we were never bothered by the noise in our room. There is great food available most evenings & occasional specials. The Asian food night on Thursdays should not be missed. If you don’t want to sit at the bar, there are cosy sofas & a fire place for the cooler evenings, or you can sit around the pool.
I cannot speak highly enough of this lovely hotel. It’s simply one of the nicest hotels l have stayed in…it’s very reasonably priced & the service is second to none. Thank you Patti & all the staff of Los Pescadores for a fabulous stay & making us feel so welcome.

The little town of Los Barriles is a gem that should not be missed if you want to avoid the Cabo crowd. Once we jumped into our rental car at the airport it was about an hour drive to Los Barriles. This is a small but growing little town that is an absolute blast if you are looking for a more authentic Mexico experience. There is one main paved road that traverses through town and pretty much everything other than that is dirt roads. This hotel is off the beaten path a couple of streets but accessible to everything in town by car or all-terrain vehicle. One of the funnest things we did on our entire 10 day stay in Baja was to rent a side-by-side which was arranged by the hotel. We kept it for a full 48 hours and used it as our primary transportation to go literally everywhere, and I mean everywhere. We traveled up the arroyos to waterfalls, took it into town multiple times, took it up and down the beach stopping at multiple beach bars and restaurants, and even took it more than 10 miles down the highway to Punta Pescadero which I will review separately. We were able to find secluded beaches and use the chairs, ice chest, and towels, all provided by the hotel to really enjoy the freedom. The hotel itself is a small boutique hotel owned by Patty and has one of the most charming and attentive staff we encountered while in Mexico. The grounds are very cool and the room was awesome. The restaurant bar provided activity every day and we met many new friends there each evening. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and kindness we were showed here and highly recommend this hotel which is a great value! Thank you to Patty and all the staff for making us feel like family.

Pattie (owner of hotel) organized a fishing expedition to a secret place on the west side of the peninsula. It was so well organized and fun I hope she makes it a regular deal. The food was super great and hotel was Mexican great (rustic, but very accommodating with AC in every room) we caught SO MANY fish, it may well have been the best fishing trip EVER! I’ve been fishing on her boats many times. She has the best captains and boats on the east cape. Hotel Los Pescadores rocks!!

Hotel Los Pescadores is an intimate boutique hotel situated on the North end of Los Barilles within walking distance from the beach. We loved everything about our stay here, so much so, that we extended our trip and will visit again. The hotel grounds are peaceful, sheltered, safe and beautiful. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. It included a large walk in shower with bench, a large closet, ceiling fans, AC, refrigerator, coffee pot, free WiFi and a comfortable bed. Every morning there are complimentary breakfast items and coffee available in the main lobby/bar area. The bar area is a central point of the hotel. It’s tenders, Daniel and Fidel, are so much fun. The bar atmosphere is like the tv show, Cheers. Patti, the owner, and all of her staff work together well, creating a wonderful place to stay. Patti goes out of her way to help you with whatever your needs may be. This is a special place worth visiting.

There are so many nice touches at this hotel I wanted to write a review to let the owner and staff know how much I appreciate them, from the refillable glass water bottles to the complimentary continental breakfast and occasional snacks served while watching football at the bar. It’s overall a local and friendly vibe, very clean, and they host a group of ukulele players who gather to strum and sing every Monday afternoon. Thanks to the owner Patti, and Daniel and Fidel at the cantina who made my solo stay not only comfortable, but also fun!

We have been going here for many years now, and wouldn't think of staying anyplace else. The owner and staff are so friendly, and they will go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Patti will even reserve fishing trips, or quad rides, with them delivered to the hotel. If you get a chance to eat dinner there on a Thursday evening, the Chinese food is amazing. Can't say enough good about this place. Beautiful place, and they will make you feel at home.

Thanks to our local friends, Ann and Tony for recommending this place. Quaint, very clean, long term employees and loyalty at LP, food was fresh and very good. Served up like first class restaurant. At the bar, everyone will know your name and welcome you like family. Safe place. Nice pool and patio. It’s not a romper room with kids hanging from trees and screaming. 😂. Owners and staff always accommodating and made everything so easy for us. We left having new friends and want to come back. Thank you LP.

We just spent the last week at Hotel Pescadores. What a gem...! Beautifully manicured gardens, spacious clean rooms, friendly bar that harbours a host of characters, locals and guests alike. Patti, the owner, has selected her staff well; Jesus the bartender, Ivan the Chef, and Daniel the head waiter, to name a few, do a great job of making you feel welcome. The best spot in Los Barriles to call home while you’re exploring the East Cape. We’ll be back.

My wife and I spent a week here. Overall it is nice, quiet and clean. Restaurant is good, but more expensive than other restaurants in the area. We had a car which made other restaurants an option without transportation you are limited as nothing else is within walking distance. Roads in area are very rough and dusty. Location is isolated, but that is part of its appeal, just be aware ahead of time.

Yes, the beach is about 10 minutes or less from the Hotel.
Saludos,

Hello, it's probably around 2 kms into Los Barriles but there is a corner store and other restaurants that are closer.
Hi TonyaMN...........Honestly, I wasn't aware beach umbrellas and chairs could be requested-as I just use the pool, but yes, it is swimmable usually! Like all beaches, there are times when the sea is rough and not safe, and you do need to keep an eye out for the aguas malas. I can't speak to the temp., as I go in May. I hope you love this amazing little gem of a property as much as I do! If you booked direct on the web page, just send an email with your question. Patti will reply ASAP.
There are lots of dogs living there.. When we stayed there the neighbor came over with his lab too... to use the pool..
Call Patti she is the owner, I think she might be closing the property for some well earned time off in Sept so I would reach out to her asap. Great lady and a lovely property.
