Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is UNMATCHED. The property is stunning with all of the florals, the food is incredible, and most importantly the staff is welcoming, and they go above and beyond to serve us. Every staff member was polite and would simply do anything for our family of 16. We have been coming for years, and we will always be back. There is a reason we also got married here!!! This is our favorite place on earth. I would like to give special shout outs to Carlos the activity and beach guy, Sherry in activities, the staff at Piaf, Lucca, Sen Lin, and Frida. If you want a phenomenal vacation, look no further and book here at Grand Velas.

We last vacationed at GVRN in January of 2020 and had such great memories of this resort we decided to book a sequel trip for June/July of 2023. Maybe we were remembering the resort better than it actually was? As soon as we got settled in and started experiencing the exceptional food and personalized service, we realized that our memories understated the magic of this place!! We will not hesitate to book here again and again!! Overall: We were blown away by the attentive and personalized service at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. We stayed for 12 days and were so sad to leave. Every single member of the staff we encountered was so friendly, welcoming, and greeted us with a smile. Everyone made sure we were having an enjoyable and relaxing time. What makes this resort one to remember is the personalized service and attention to detail. Also the food is phenomenal!! Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is the perfect relaxing escape. They went above and beyond for us and made our 10 year anniversary trip so very special and memorable. We are so appreciative and can't wait to return to this paradise. Resort: We noticed multiple people working throughout our stay to improve the appearance of the resort. We saw staff members tending to the grounds, repainting the inside and outside of the resort, and also replacing some of the beautifully tiled roofs. It is very apparent that they are keeping this resort in great shape. We noticed that the stones embedded in the walkways surrounding the pools had been replaced and improved since our last visit, our room appeared to be recently renovated and beautiful, and the kids club was completely redone. We greatly appreciate the phenomenal resort upkeep and this is one of the many reasons we will not hesitate to come back yet again!! Room: We booked an Ocean Front Master Suite and were so happy and content in our huge room!! The bathroom was enormous with double sinks, a large soaking tub, a spacious shower with a rain showerhead, and a separate room for the toilet. Our king bed was so comfortable and they even set up a separate rollaway bed for our son. The mattress and bedding was so comfortable and we all slept so soundly. We greatly enjoyed the pillow menu which made our comfort and relaxation even better! The room is cleaned spotlessly twice daily, and the mini bar and snacks were all refilled on a daily basis. They even gave us extras of our favorite snacks!! We felt our room was perfect and were so comfortable hanging out there. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony to either eat breakfast or just enjoy listening to the waves in the afternoons and evenings. We highly recommend this room as it was so peaceful, private, and comfortable. Food: This resort has incredibly delicious food and drinks and we highly enjoyed all of the many options throughout our stay!! We were able to stay healthy if we chose, or also indulge if we wanted to. There are multiple options for everyone. Everything we ate was delicious!! We ordered room service on multiple occasions and they delivered exactly what we requested each time. The room service arrived timely and they even have a separate warming compartment on the room service delivery cart to make sure your food is delivered at the proper temperature. Angel and Magali were standouts with our room service deliveries. They set up our dining table beautifully each time and were so warm and friendly. We already miss being able to order room service any time we desire. We ate at Selva del Mar for lunch a few times and highly enjoyed this ocean front sit down restaurant!! Eduardo was an amazing server and walked all the way over to Azul to get pizza for our son during one of our lunches here. It was so appreciated that he went out of his way to make sure our son ate what he was craving!! We greatly appreciated the special service. We ate at Sen Lin, Lucca and Frida during the evenings. Sen Lin was by far our favorite restaurant. The dishes were presented beautifully and were so delicious! The service at Sen Lin was unmatched. Enrique Perez at Sen Lin was hands down PHENOMENAL!!!! He was so warm and welcoming and made each of our dinners so special. He made special chopsticks with a rubber band for our son at each of our dinners, and also arranged for Hernan from the Koi bar to make us personalized drinks as a special surprise for us. We were just in awe of him and his outstanding service and attention to detail. He was such a stand out that we are still talking about how special he made us feel. He is a gem and truly made our vacation one to remember!! He is spectacular!! Lucca was also delicious and we ate there a couple of times. The mushroom soup and the risottos are delicious!! At Frida, my husband loved the steak tacos, and they went out of their way to prepare me a plain chicken breast as requested. Thank you Juan and Luis!! We went into Azul a few times to get a quick bite to go, and the options are so plentiful. It was easy to find something for everyone, and the food was very high end for a buffet. Pool: The pools are beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed by the pools for hours each day and had so much fun. They set up our beach chairs with towels, and gave us water and umbrellas each time. Jorge Ramos was a standout by the pool. We asked him if it was possible to have an extra umbrella and he gave us a warm smile and said "here, anything is possible." He was amazing!! He not only set up the extra umbrella in the perfect location relative to the sun, but also positioned the lounge chairs for us to have the perfect view of the ocean. He was spectacular and we felt so lucky to be under his attentive care. They offer poolside food and drink service throughout the afternoons. Leonel and Emanuel took great care of us, and consistently made sure we had a drink in hand and food for our son. They were perfectly attentive. The resort offers aquaerobics as well as aqua yoga/pilates classes which I participated in and found very fun!! The aqua yoga class in particular was a great challenge and the instructor Mariano was phenomenal!! He was so encouraging and helpful. I already miss being able to participate in his classes and am looking forward to his workouts when we return. Spa: The highly acclaimed Se Spa at the resort deserves every single award it has earned. This place was so peaceful and rejuvenating. My husband had a serenity massage and a tequila cream massage. I had a therapeutic massage and a hot stone massage. Each of our spa treatments was phenomenal!! The massage therapists are so well trained and created a peaceful and relaxing environment each time. Each massage was personalized to our preferences, and we left the spa feeling so relaxed. Gardenia was a stand out for me, and gave me the best hot stone massage of my life!! Beach: The beach is gorgeous!! The water is warm, the sand is soft and there is no seaweed!! I enjoyed running on the beach multiple mornings and went about 3 miles north as well as 1 mile south. Running on the sand is so peaceful and I felt very safe running this far away from the resort. We relaxed in the cabanas a few times, and they offer food and drink service here as well. Service: Our concierge Maria was outstanding!! She made each of our dinner reservations as requested, and organized a special anniversary dessert and champagne to be delivered to our room. In addition, we requested healthy snacks once at the beginning of our stay, and she went above and beyond and organized to have healthy snacks delivered to our room on a daily basis. We were just so blown away by this!! Her above and beyond attention to detail is a perfect example of why we felt so special and will not hesitate to return to this resort again and again. Thank you Maria!! Kids Club and Summer Camp: We took our son to the Kids Club a couple of times to sit with him while he played video games. The kids club was completely redone since the last time we visited, and was the perfect place for our son to play! The staff at the kids club were outstanding! They helped our son get set up with the video game he wanted and were also so great with the kids they were watching. Grand Velas had a Summer Camp for the kids set up in the grassy area with a zipline, rock wall, trampoline jumper as well as other activities. Our son loved this and did the zipline over and over and over. The staff here were phenomenal with the kids! Julisus in particular was so friendly and made our son feel so comfortable!! Thank you for another incredible stay. We stayed here for 6 nights and over the Thanksgiving holiday. Room: Center of the hotel, awesome views, spacious and great room service. Pool: Special shout out to Jorge, Nino and Raul for taking care of my family. Always making sure we had food and drinks in hand. Concierge: Very thankful that Luis took care of all the small details and made our vacation flawless. Also, very thankful for making our daughters birthday special with a cake and balloons! Overall: If you're looking for a hotel with a view, a swim-able beach, great food and the best service - this is the place to go.

Wish we could have stayed longer But family responsibilities required us to shortened our stay. Our visit to the Grand Velas was similar to our past visits. The food, service from hotel employees and weather were all to our liking. I especially enjoyed the bbq food at Azul . The fish and steaks were cooked to a mouth watering perfection Many Thanks to chefs Guillaume and Raul for the tasty meals.

We spent 9 days with 2 families (11 and 9 year olds) in November. The location and resort (pool and beach) are beautiful. However, the exceptional service is what makes the resort special. The kids loved all the activities with Mariano, AJ, Pedro, Sherry and Carlos. Breakfast/lunch and dinner at Azul was fantastic, especially with the service of Carlos, Antonio, Ricardo, Phidel and Pablo. We always had amazing pool service with Gustavo and Jorge. This was our 3rd time at the resort and so many of the staff remember us. Our 8 year old nephew cried his last day saying goodbye to all the staff who made his stay so special, bringing one of them to tears as well. Highly recommend the resort to anyone.

It's true that when something works so well, and the family is in unanimous agreement, there really is no reason to make changes. That definitely applies to your choice of resorts, taking into account that this was your third time visiting. Carlos- who runs the beach activities was so hospitable!! He greeted us every day remembering our names and inviting my boys to play volleyball or take a boogie board!! They felt beyond special and enjoyed his free spirit. He offers surf lessons too!!

I'm writing what I wrote to the hotel directly on their survey. Service is 2nd to none. Food is great and consistent. Jorge Ramos - Poolside Concierge - He was unbelievable. He's just the exact person why we love Grand Velas twice now. Attentive, friendly, funny, he left no stones unturned for us. I consider him a friend. Raymundo Mesero and Antonio - Pool and Beach staff. What can I say. We made it a point to insist on being in their section each day we were there. They were really funny and genuine. They actually made us feel like life long friends. I consider them both friends. Mario - our concierge - we didn't really require much from him, but the times we did ask questions he was immediately attentive and responsive. The young lady who cut my son's hair. I didn't get her name. She was so kind with my son. He hates getting his haircut but he was very good with her. Staff that cleaned our room every day. With 2 boys, our place was a disaster daily from all the wrestling around. We had 6 phones, 2 Ipads, 2 Nintendo systems - and I was never once concerned with them taking anything. …

Excellent experience! All inclusive resort with great restaurants, excellent service, and amazing views. Quick trip from the airport. Very safe location. Recommend booking restaurants prior to getting here. Only improvement…people saving chairs by the pool. Have to get there early. Minor issue. Spa and gym are very nice. The Azul restaurant for lunch and breakfast is excellent! Many gluten free options throughout the resort as well. We’ll be back

This resort has an amazing location right on the beach and has over-the-top food variety and quality. Our room had a stunning view and poolside lounging all day (along with swim up bar!) allowed you to relax and hear the ocean waves crashing nearby. Service was great by all employees and offers activities such as volleyball, aqua fit, teen area with lots of games, blackjack, karaoke, yoga, and a great beach activity area (Carlos went out of his way to welcome my kids and get them involved with beach activities). Beautiful resort!

Celebrated a milestone birthday here with close friends and family. We had a group of about 30 including children (as young as 6 months). Resort has something for everyone. Food is very good, especially Senlin. Service is exceptional. Given our group size, we had Ramon and Dulce as our dedicated concierge and they were fantastic. We've stayed at many luxury resorts and this is amongst the best.
