The people who work here and their excellent service, the cleanliness, and the upkeep of the grounds are the saving grace of this resort. I would pass on everything else. And you'd better do your research before you show up because once you're there, you're on your own without any guidance. For instance, you can make reservations for the restaurants...

just returned after 7 days in this hotel. This is a family friendly resort with good amenities for little people and there were lots of them! It is not easily accessible for those with special needs. Food choices are average at best. Buffet choices @ Casa Bella are on best average and not changed a lot. We hoped that there...

We were here from Nov. 16-23rd 2011, my husband and I, our 3 boys (13,11 and 8 yrs. old), our daughter (6 yrs. old) and my in-laws. Our originally booked 3 rooms were in the back of the property and they were NOT connecting rooms. When we asked if there was a better option, they immediately offered us a beach-front,...

We visited this all-inclusive resort in early Dec. Coming from the Prairies, we look forward to a spectacular tropical views. The pictures on line are a bit more impressive than reality. It is a nice older but clean hotel. Our 1st. room looked at a big tree and the parking lot. We asked for an up-grade (it seemed to be...

Let me start by saying that for the most part I don't like all-inclusives. I've been to them in Mexico, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific and while I liked them when I was in my late twenties and early thirties they lost their shine for me in my forties and now (gulp) into my fifties. But - we have...

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago, from Dec. 2-9th. It was our first time to Puerto Vallarta but we have been to the Mayan and to Puerto Plata, DR. We are in our early 40's. After you check in, they do try to talk you into going to a "special breakfast". This is a timeshare thing...

Let me first say this property is no where near a 4.5 star. In my experience I would consider this a 3 star at best. Our situation: We traveled as a family, my wife and I and 5 yo twins boy and girl for 8 days. We booked through Delta Vacations, stayed in a 2bdrm ocean front suite and paid...

We chose this particular property because it was listed as a 4.5 star, but please be warned, it is not 4.5 stars by north american standards. When we arrived, staff were pleasant. We promptly had our room keys, but upon entering our room, the first thing we noticed was the very strong musty smell inside and a very loud noise...

We recently visited the Marival for our 5th and FINAL time. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice place but not great. I have never had any complaints with cleanliness at the Marival, it is always spotless. The staff are always outgoing and will do anything to make sure you are happy. Why we won't return: The rooms are...

Clean, good food, friendly staff, lots of activities (i.e. kayaking, catamaran, boogey board, several pools including separate kid pool, beach volleyball, soccer field, rock climbing wall, tennis courts, game room, mini putt etc) and daily programs led by staff. Seems to be a good program for the kids there as well. Weather was fanastic too. Bit cool at night
