I paid for a room today for 2 adults and two kids for 7 nights, including two breakfasts on Priceline. When I called the hotel to confirm my paid reservation, they told me the reservation did not include the two breakfasts and the kids had to pay extra. I called Priceline who contacted the Hotel Indigo and said they had changed their policy after I paid for the reservation and they will not respect the price they had on Priceline today. So Priceline apologized and they were processing the refund. Very unprofessional and misrepresent (false advertising) the online prices.
Wheelchair ramps into and out of hotel are substandard and very steep. Designed by someone that never used a wheelchair. Same with showers. Grab bars only on far wall of the shower stall. None where needed on the side walls. Shower poorly designed for anyone's use much less a handicapped individual. No breakfast menu seemingly available. Buffet available for breakfast at fixed price. Difficult to see items available on buffet unless standing. Telephone in my room (111) was between the beds and not convenient to use from a wheelchair. Hotel did move it to the desk where it was much more accessible.
My family and I stayed here last weekend and we really loved it! They gave us a communicated room and we where very comfortable, the pool is nice, and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Hotel Indigo.
Thank you. An excellent experience is the third time I stay at this hotel and I will continue staying here, with its great location close to malls and the beach boulevard. Its rooms give a touch of subtle elegance and the pool is delicious.
room was 1st class ,check in was great as was the prompt service, pick a room near front if you want a view of the ocean. hotel across from the water but great location and lots of parking. very well managed and run
First time to ever stay in this IHG property. A decent night stay for a hotel that offers no extras. The pool is nice. The gym is decent. The restaurant is only an ok. The staff is friendly, but not well trained. The property is clean. The rooms are a good size. I had a Jr. Suite and it was worth the upgrade.
Staff nice and attentive. Hotel is well located major shopping malls 200 yards to the right of it and another across the street. Very clean and QUIET. they must have special windows to stop the outside noise. Large king size bed. Great bathroom with two types of shower heads. Minor complaints are rooms could use a little more lighting and the breakfast while it has many items could use a refresher of different foods.
Out of the area hotels, Indigo is the most well rounded. Holiday Inn Express falls a little short, staff could be little bit more polite and breakfast could start on time...Indigo however does it very well. Very polite staff, nice swimming pool and gym, and more than decent (and timely) breakfast!
The property was very clean and the rooms large, modern and with nice amenities. Most of the staff could only speak Spanish but those in the front desk and some of the bell hop have a good command of English. The breakfast buffet is varied and satisfying but if you're staying for a few days, it could be repetitive. If you're planning on taking tours, you should go with a regular agency; we hired a taxi to take us for a day trip as recommended by the hotel staff but it turned out to be just as expensive as a regular tour with a certified tour guide. The hotel was a few miles from downtown Veracruz but a taxi is pretty inexpensive - 60 pesos or about $3 USD in the current rate. If you're a bit more adventurous, you can take the bus for 9 pesos or about $.50cents.
We came to Mexico to have a certain procedure done on Dec. 14th, in which required clinical stay. I had booked a hotel for after beginning Dec. 22nd through Dec. 31st. This was hard enough to find given the holidays. Hotel Indigo had good reviews, yes it is decorated nice & looks clean. We go to room after ck-in & right away find 2 small insects on the bed. We killed them, looked harmless, then another on window curtain. At that point i took a picture! Then again on the other bed & on the floor! This room was full of them so we went to front desk to tell them about insect problem. They acted as if it was from humidity but couldn't say what type of bug, no one knew. They offered new room, i asked to see if first. Bellman went with me, he killed 2 more in that room. At that point i was grossed out! How do you sleep on beds crawling with small bugs, they can get in your hair, crawl in ears they are very small you can't even feel them. Front desk & bellman were polite & tried to give us a 3rd room. We did a full inspection & sure enough they were there hiding in the cracks. Bell man finally took a picture, he was embarrassed & zoomed in really good, it looked like a spider / cockroach! We went down & looked it up. The 2 bugs we found were bed bugs & termites! I ask for money back, there were no more hotels avail for the entire length of our stay, we had to go back to clinic & fly out next morning! By the way i ended up getting bit by one! Please everyone check the beds & corners before staying in that room! Regular fumigation does NOT get rid of them! You risk taking them home with you. They are very tiny, one is yellow almost clear & other brownish. …
