The 15 floor resort is very clean and the two bedroom condo we rented was spacious with a wonderful ocean facing balcony. The condo was somewhat well equipped with utensils but make sure you bring your own salt and pepper since nothing like that is left in the apartment. Dishwasher and laundry soap is rationed by the maids and there are no beach towels to be found so bring your own.
The pools are wonderful and the pool side bar is nice but be sure to pay in pesos rather than dollars because the hotel exchange rate is way worse than you’ll get anywhere else (15 pesos to the dollar versus the typical 20). There’s a restaurant and sports bar but finding non-meat options as a vegan is tough.
The bar plays music throughout the day and even had live music a couple of times. The party noise from the pool well past midnight can be annoying if you want to sleep and expect the dulcet fog horn like voice of the lady selling burritos and tamales to echo around the complex starting at 7am as she stands on the beach yelling at the resort about her wares.
Taxi rides into town seem to run expensive compared to other parts of Mexico too and, again, ask for the price in pesos rather than dollars to avoid overpaying. We were told by a local that the taxi should only charge US$5 per person but that wasn’t our experience with multiple taxi drivers.
The beach is a solid boon to the location and ideal for sailing, paddleboarding, or jet skiing. The ocean is beautifully clear here too but there are warning signs about sting rays being around.
Overall, this was a nice resort but overpriced and the town has less of an authentic Mexican feel than other places in Mexico.

Room Tip:Parking in town is tough so you may want to consider using taxis. Looking for vegan options isn’t...

Everything in the unit #1108 was pretty good with the exception of the TV in the living room all the channels were in Spanish. We were able to watch the TV in the bedroom but who wants to sit in the bedroom to watch TV. The rest of the condo was wonderful. We did notify the front desk that there had been a water leak from the room directly above us, we noticed the fresh water stain on the ceiling and wall by our bathtub, My husband did let the front desk know immediately and they were going to contact the owners of our unit. The unit was well equipped otherwise. We definitely would want to stay there when we come down again next year.

I have been to every Sonoran resort and this was my last one to try. I was extremely disappointed. . The only thing that was nice was the people at the front desk, very friendly. Here are some of my concerns with the Sky. 1. The $200 deposit that must be put down (not at any other Sonoran) is refundable but if you use a card for this deposit they charge a fee and you do not get all your money back. 2. The pool security was a little over the top and closes at 9:45 - odd hours for weekends. They do not let you eat at the pool unless you are seated outside of the pool. No feet in pool while you eat or snack. They watch you like a hawk to make sure you following all their rules. They also did not run the pool overflow on Saturday and had no explanation for turning it off. The negative pool was a cool feature but only when they turned it on. Very limited chairs so if you are not down early you will lose out. The water in the bar area was super warm and other was chilly so no consistency . 3. Room 909 with Jacuzzi, but Jacuzzi had no water and was filthy so there was no point in having it as a plus. No door handle on the sliding door from outside so was difficult to slide open each time. The patio furniture was old and falling apart. Kitchen has 5 plates and 4 bowls so make sure to pack what you need. The other resorts had full kitchens and we ended up having to go and buy many items to accommodate any cooking in the room. Pillows in all rooms were like bricks so try and pack your own if you can! Always wanted to try the Sky but will never go back. Sonoran Sun is a lot better resort and where we will be going back to.

Don’t Rent from Casago! I’ve rented from them before but this time was different. We had a major flood in the kitchen as one of the rusty pipes blew under the kitchen sink. The water wouldn’t turn off. We used 6 large beach towels and 10 condo towels to get the water up. We called the emergency hotline and it took quite a while for someone to come. In the meantime we found a large wrench in our vehicle to turn off the water. The Condo would have been totally flooded it we didn’t have that. We spent hours cleaning it up because the didn’t have a water vac or mops or anything. The next day they replaced the pipes and had to shut off water to the building for hours. They also changed us 120.00 charge because our kids were over 12 years of age. The Unit is advertised as sleeping 6. The offered 85.00 off the bill for inconveniences. This is a great property but casago isn’t so great. We will not rent from them again. We asked for the 85.00 plus the 120.00 back from the extra charge and they said NO.

My wife and I booked a condo for one week. I notified Casago we had a pet and confirmed their policy for the condo we reserved. (Each condo is individually owned) We drove there from Arizona and checked in. They ran our credit card and welcomed us! Literally 5 minutes after arriving in the condo there was a knock on the door from the Front Desk. They had "just" been notified of our pet and "absolutely no pets are allowed, unless you own a unit." We were told to either leave the property immediately or have our pet boarded somewhere. Not ten minutes after our arrival! Sorry, no refunds. Never again.

Not enough umbrellas. They let people take all the chairs and umbrellas for hours and hours with no one sitting there No place or shade at the pool or cabanas Security as you drive in the gates are rude even though you have been there a few days they act like you’re bringing in drugs or something. Takes a lot of threats from them before you can enter Not a friendly environment We’ve been coming here since they opened and get treated like trash Need more umbrellas and lounge chairs around pool. Again no where to sit at pool or beach

Sonoran sky 1101 is not furnished as shown or advertised . BEWARE...We were put in a very compromising position due to the fact it was falsely advertised. I would not trust Sonoran Sky with your reservation or trust them with their correction method

Held my wedding here, glad I had it in the banquet room, which is nice. Beach area way too busy. Concierge Gustave did help us plenty til the end, I was told I could keep my weddibg things there for a couple of days, when I went back they had thrown away all my flowers including my bouquet. I didn't receive a call back with at least a semi apology. Lydia with Casago never set up the discount wedding code for my guests or me. Never returned my calls. I would not recommend this resort for a wedding. Who I do want to thank is Xochitl & Fabiola with Point Weddings, the servers, and bartenders. They did an awesome job.

This resort is beyond beautiful! We stayed with another couple in a 2 bedroom condo. It was nice and clean. Amazing view of the pool and beach. Front desk is very friendly. We got a massage from the spa which was heavenly. The swim-up pool was heated and had some fun drinks and appetizers. The low tide in the morning was amazing with lots of interesting sea creature finds. Pretty easy to find beach chairs as well. The only things negative: our oven did not work, the lamp in our bedroom was broke, and you have to bring your own beach towels. But not really that big of a deal. We would definitely return again!

We stayed in # 603. We had no hot water for 2 days before I found out the water heater was turned off. I thought it was just because they where fixing a sink before we where able to check in. We where not able to check in until late due to the sink which was only partially repaired and had caulking all over the counter. Id go back but may consider another property.
