Great place, beautiful, comfortable, incredible attention for details and great hospitality. We rented the separate villa and it was wonderful. On arrival you’re provided with a variety of local products and fresh fruit to enjoy. Owners are passionate about their facility and do a great job at making you feel comfortable. Maintenance of the estate is exceptional. Nice gardens with panorama terrace and great swimming pool. Close to Bologna. Highly recommended!

Prasiano is an ancient farm with lots of interesting history, now renovated in a very elegant and tasteful manner by local artisans. The location is very quiet and the view is breathtaking, reminding of the rolling hills of Tuscany but much more calm. Below the main house is a lovely garden and cherry tree grove, where thousands of fireflies gather in the evening. Sitting on the terrace by the pool and enjoying this was a memory for life. This is something I've never seen before, and apparently it is a sign of very clean air and surroundings.
Emanuela and Massimo who runs Prasiano are also official custodians of a very special grape that only grows around the local village, from which they make an excellent wine. They also make delicious lemonades, marmalades and other products from their very special cherries and of course their own balsamico - aged 39 years.
I also have to mention that they are excellent hosts who really make you feel welcome, and they know the region very well. Just below the farm, the brother of Massimo lives in a medieval fortress. They can arrange the best restaurants and activities for you in this very special region with the most D.O.P. products in the world.
I recommend Prasiano for anyone looking for the best food, wine and hospitality that Italy can offer - in a calm, private and historical location.

Podere Prasiano is a slice of heaven! From the moment you arrive on-property, you're greeted by their charming pup and a garden like you've never seen before. Emanuela and Masimo are the perfect hosts - welcoming you with sparkling wine as they show you around your accommodations.
We stayed in the Casetta, and it was perfect. It's fully stocked with everything you could need (dishwasher, washing machine, pots/pans, glasses, coffee marker, serving platters, etc). There isn't anything missing! The bed is so comfortable and the AC is a nice addition. We slept great every night.
We spent most of our time at Podere barefoot by the pool or having happy hour on the patio overlooking the most incredible sunsets. The grounds are gorgeous and you could spend your entire trip never leaving. We ventured to Festa for lunch (2 mins up the road) and a day trip to Modena but other than that, enjoyed our time relaxing doing nothing.
Everything was perfect and we cannot wait to come back! Thank you for having us!

My wife and I stayed at Podere Prasiano late May -June on a 4 week personal vacation throughout Italy. Our experience was everything we anticipated. The property is absolutely beautiful. Attention to detail is "spot-on". The gardens are beautiful. The owners, Emanuela and Massimo, were wondeful hosts. This is an organic, active working farm growing grapes, cherries, and olives. However, the farming activity does not interfere with the premises. The facilities are very modern, i.e.. air conditioning, elevator (in the main building), parking, and more. We stayed in the Cassetta, a detached and private two story building with air conditioning a few feet away from the main building. Emanuela would bring us ch cerries she picked in the morning, as well as, fresh cheese made the same day. The infinity pool is great; with a spectacular view of the hills. And of course, there is Edison! The friendly pooch. One day we joined another group for a food and wine evening. Massimo is a wine sommellier who explained the details of wine growing from farm to bottle, and Emanuela's servings of meats, cheeses, and more were superb. They recommended a restaurant,Marcellas, which serves outstanding dishes and is very close by. All in all a wonderful experience which we absolutely recommend.

This property has an incredible hilltop setting in the hills south of Modena. Our family of five stayed in the larger of the two houses available to rent. The house and surrounding gardens were pristine. Emanuela and Massimo were incredibly friendly, helpful and informative and spoiled us with homemade baking and preserves from their garden. It was our favourite of all the places we stayed during our vacation.

Absolutely beautiful property in the hills of Emilia Romagna with stunning views and incredible landscapes. My husband and I spent four nights at the Podere Prasiano cassetta in September, the blue-shuttered house was beautifully and lovingly restored and furnished by Emanuela and Massimo. (including handpainted Italian linens on the beds.)
Emanuela was a perfect and generous host who dropped off delicious homemade treats each day. The house was also fully stocked with organic fruit and juices, cheese, eggs from the farm, yogurt and everything we needed for breakfast, snacks and even a light supper.
Every evening we would sit outside with a glass of wine on the beautifully landscaped terrace and enjoy the ever-changing sunsets over the hills and valleys. Such a perfect way to unwind after our travels through northern Italy. Truly a magical place!

Wowza! How do we put into words our experience?
We were a group of friends and family celebrating milestone birthdays and an anniversary. This was not only the perfect location to access Modena, Parma, and Bologna, but also the smaller surrounding medieval towns. We were dreaming of a foodie experience that was off the beaten path from the rest of the tourists, and we certainly found that here.
The accommodations were clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed. Every detail from the quality of the bedding to fresh cut flowers were thought of.
The warm hospitality and the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding hills far exceeded our expectations. Whether we wanted to take a day trip to explore or lounge in the sun to sip on some wine and read a book, there was something for everybody. Emilia Romagna is truly a place for foodies and all of the restaurants we visited were run by local families, extremely affordable, and authentic.
Emanuela is the hostess with the mostess! She only added to our experience with her passion for the history, culture, and organic lifestyle.
We were spoiled with home-baked goods using fresh herbs, eggs, honey, grapes and vegetables from the property.
Each night, we would gather on the terrace for sunset, fascinated by the ever-changing views & vistas.
There were days that we explored Bologna, Modena, a local balsamic acetaia & Parmesan dairy farms, and even ventured on a truffle hunt…other days we prepared meals and enjoyed the rustic charm of the beautiful home and property, with its thoughtfully modern comforts.
Every detail has been thought of and we will be back! We cannot recommend this Italian gem enough!

Staying at Podere Prasiano was a life experience not to be forgotten. Nestled in an hilltop setting and loving cared for by Emanuela Grotti and her staff, this is a place of magical beauty, gorgeous views and a chance to sample the rustic countryside in absolute peace. Emanuela is an hostess without equal. Our apartment was stocked with her homemade delicicies including jams, vinegar, fresh fruit, herbs, eggs, milk to such an extent that shopping was really not necessary. Emanuela constantly surprised us with home made "goodies" that were wonderful as she is an extraordinary cook who uses only organic and natural ingredients. We felt completely at home. Everything worked as it should from a strong, cleansing shower to a contemporary wood stove that gave us delightful heat on a few chilly autumn evenings. The bed was super comfortable and every detail attended to with obvious pride and love for the surroundings. Our last evening we had a wonderful wine and dinner pairing, nearby restaurants were welcoming and we can't wait for a return journey.

Emanuela and Massimo made us feel very welcome and took great pains to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
The grounds and the pool and leisure area are fabulous and beautifully maintained and we were encouraged to explore freely.
They are obviously very proud of what they have created and use the produce they grow to make their wonderful wines, jams, juices and aged balsamic vinegar. The ‘welcome’ pack of these and other local produce was gratefully consumed!
Emanuela also treated us to home baked local cakes and savouries each day, such a treat.
We stayed in La Cassetta which is a beautiful, cool and authentic renovated barn, with many original features and a lovely outside eating area.
We would recommend Podera Prasiano unreservedly.
