This was one of the highlights of our 18 day tour of Italy. The home we stayed in was elegant and the views of the surrounding countryside were breathtaking. Our daily breakfast was quite the feast. It included organic fruit, cheeses, yogurt and meats from local farmers. To top it off - homemade pastries. Our beautiful host Emanuela took us on a tour of the property and explained how the farm operates. She also gave us information on the surrounding churches and castles. This part of our trip was truly outstanding!!!
Podere Prasiano is a perfect way to explore and fall in love with the Emilia Romano region. The location is an easy drive to Parma, Modena, Ferrara and Bologna. Emanuela and Massimo are perfect hosts that make sure every detail is taken care of in style. They love sharing their knowledge of the area. The main house and rooms are perfectly clean and very comfortable. They have a beautiful pool, grounds and spectacular views. The breakfasts are very good and great way to start the day. Massimo, a sommelier, had a wine tasting with great passion and we had so much fun with the other guests. Can not adequately describe our wonderful experience. Wish I can give more than five stars. Caio !!
We stayed two lovely nights in the "Salata" room on the upper floor with a view of the pool and the glorious sunsets over the valley. The room was quite comfortable and provided ample space for us to relax in private... For relaxation in a more social environment, we found the grounds to be perfect -- and perfectly maintained -- without being stuffy or pretentious. How we long for our own home to be just like this! Breakfasts were a bounty of fresh fruits, cheese and meats, baked goods, natural yogurt, and wonderful juice blend and coffee. If it's in season, it may be served! We could not eat it all, but not for want of trying! We did not see Emanuela much, but Massimo helped us with dinner reservations and ensured we were able to have an early breakfast when we had to depart before the usual breakfast time. And we cannot forget Edison ("Eddie") who saw us off every time we left, and greeted us every return. While others may not appreciate the location 50 minutes from Modena, we enjoyed the rural location and the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. TIP: Depending on when you visit, you may want to pack mosquito repellent. We enjoyed watching the sunset outside, but I'm a mosquito magnet and wish I'd packed repellent!…
We are staying the Summer in Tuscany. We took a side trip to Northern Italy to experience Parma and Modena. We found Podere Prasiano on TA and its is worth the visit. Emanuela and Massimo have a gem in Italy. They have restored a lovely home that blends old world charm with modern conveniences. It has spectacular views that rival the Tuscan hills. We will definitely be back!
This is surely among the most elegant Agriturismos or b’n’bs anywhere. It has super attractive and charming hosts, a chic, well designed and restored “farmhouse”, gorgeous views, beautiful grounds with an infinity pool, and various places to sit alone or with others. They offer lovely home made everything from juices, jams, and breakfast treats to hand painted linens, tiles, balsamic vinegars of different ages, and essential curative lavender oil. And more. They are ecologically careful but also abounding in generous hospitality. We had two glorious nights, appreciated their local restaurant suggestions, and had an after dinner drink on their beautiful outcropping patio listening to nocturnal chirping under the stars. What a find! Highly recommend.
