Beautiful hotel, stunning location and the staff were amazing. Despite the freezing temperatures, the hotel was kept nice and warm with a very relaxed atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. We had to leave at 4:30AM for our flight; they arranged a special breakfast and coffee for us which was much needed. I highly, highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful wedding anniversary stay at this beautiful cozy hotel in the middle of the beautiful Icelandic Nature and next to one of the only black wooden churches in Iceland. The food at the restaurant was pricy but really great. Perfect if you are looking for an charming oasis in nature. Our room had a view to a...

This hotel is located on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, almost 3 hours from Rejkjavik but worth a visit for sure! The topography is beautiful and the Hotel Budir will not disappoint. Seemingly non-descript from the outside, the interior is small but warm and cozy and the setting is spectacular. We had come for a wedding at the Budir Church. Our room...

We had the most unbelievable experience at Hotel Budir when we got married there in May 2015. Johannes and the whole team at the hotel were exceptional from the moment we arrived on the Friday afternoon to the moment we all departed on Sunday morning. We booked out the whole hotel and all of our guests commented that it was...

Hotel Budir was a romantic, charming and secluded country hotel with spectacular views in all directions. We read and observed that it was a desired location for weddings as there were two weddings on the property the weekend we visited. Upon our arrival and entrance to the quaint but luxurious lobby, I understood the reason. Everything about the hotel was...

Make the trip out to the Snaefellsnes peninsula and stay at this iconic hotel. You will not regret it. The view itself will make you grateful to be alive to admire the wonders of our beautiful earth. As for the hotel itself, it's a bit dated, but charming in its own way. We upgraded our room to one with fabulous...

So, you are 180 miles from Reykjavik, in the middle of nowhere, and up from the horizon comes this amazing oasis of a 5 star hotel taken from a Hollywood movie set. You've arrived at Hotel Budir. Small (20 rooms?), intimate and first class in every regard - close your eyes and you could believe you are in the Four...

There are almost no hotels near the National Park in west Iceland.... Except for Hotel Bodir. And the hotel is nice. The room we had was large and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner was good (even though expensive). And the breakfast was very good. This hotel does not sit at the side of the road. One must...

This hotel is like going to a friend's well appointed Country House. With several little lounge areas to sit and read or have peace and privacy, or a personal conversation. My rooms were on their top floor, which included an outdoor walk across a catwalk roof lounge area before getting to the room's hallway. There was a skylight to view...
