Francesco Senise runs a beautiful little agriturismo set high up in the hills above Rotonda with spectacular all round views. The rooms are much more comfortable than the website suggests. Francesco’s cooking is excellent and very generous (only an Italian could finish his servings of pasta). Vegetarians are a bit of a challenge to him as to most in a region known for tasty salami but his homemade ricotta is worth the trip on its own!
We were lucky we could stay in Masseria Senise during our holiday in Pollino. Mr. Francesco was very kind, helpful with everything. His homemade wine is delicious. Dinner on the terrace with magnificent view of the sunset over the mountains is unforgetable.
