I have stayed at this resort many times and most recently in November. This is great place for complete relaxation, away from the crowded, dusty and noisy main city center of Kathmandu - approx 10 km. Popular among locals during weekends and mostly occupied for different conference and seminars. Huge property, neat and clean, lush green environment with beautifully designed guest rooms. The staff and very courteous and hospitable. Food are truly good and one can find different varieties as per their own choice. The famous Budhanilkantha temple is just about 500 meters away and Shivapuri Nagarjun national park, about 2.5 km with number of hiking routes around. A must to visit, entertain, explore adventure and relaxing place.

We visited for the new year's eve party at this hotel. I was really impressed by the architect and ambience of the hotel at first, but immediately put off by the receptionist. We were taken to our room on a tuk tuk, thank god, our guide riding the tuk tuk was far far better than the guys at the reception. This guy knew how to communicate with your guests. Our room was good. The worst part here, was the food during the party which had stalls and buffet. I have never had such bad food in any of the hotels before. It wad like attending a marriage reception rather than a hotel. And, the worst ever sound system in addition to the choice of songs over there was excruciating for your eardrums. In my opinion, This place has a lot of potential, and may attract a lot of tourist (national and international) if they revise some of their major set backs. Tata...

Honestly I've stayed in thus hotel multiple times before, and I've always been put off by the service. The rooms are cute (although it depends which building you're ib) and comfortable, but the food and service is sub par. I spoke to ajit at the front desk for some water and he wasn't attentive at all, intact he literally ignored for a foreign national guest, which I guess is the case in most places but it's not how I expected to be treated with the good money we paid. Anyway, probably don't think ill stay here again anyway, something about the place isn't very inviting.

A friend recommended Park Village Resort after learning we had made reservations elsewhere in the city. They promised we would not be disappointed and they were correct. Park Village is indeed an oasis in the midst of the city. There is a plaque on the grounds reproducing a letter from the founder telling of his dream for the hotel to his children. His dream was fulfilled to the fullest. Check out the pictures. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. We enjoyed just walking around and seeing the sights. The trees, greenery, ponds, pool, etc., are a sight to behold. Beauty may not be your first concern with a hotel, so let it be said that the service is next to none. The staff from the top to the bottom are dedicated to treated residents as treasured guests in the Nepali tradition. We were there over two weeks and in that length of time things can wrong. We have no complaints. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. I left, as it were, with tears in my eyes, that I could not spend more time with these wonderful people and I sincerely wish I could return just to visit with them. If I lived locally, I would return for breakfast and linger for hours chatting, while sipping coffee or snacking on whatever was available. (PS The breakfast buffet is grand.) I could name staff at length, but to avoid omitting someone special, I will only say thank you to Mohan, the manager.
